All 166 million of them?
You’ve mentioned Trump here in a negative way several times. I find it absolutely astounding that you dislike him.
From the constant lying and embellishing, to the backtracking and denying comments there are public record of, to your views on women, down to the defense of “locker room talk” - I’d be less astounded to find out that you and him are the same person. The best person. Tremendous.
Yes, all of that is what’s wrong. Got it in one.
you a lucky man!
well, man, that is your opinion.
I can see how that is.
@flappinit
I laughed.
Yes, all of them, even the unborn.
what was funny?
I was explaining what I have been doing, what my frame of mind was before or is usually, but yes I am debating on cutting down and then cycling to see what I can achieve. Is that ok with you polo?
If you were more clear in what you are trying to say you wouldn’t need to resort to sarcasm and hyperbole so much.
if you’re unsure of something you can ask nicely and I will attempt to explain it to you
No. Obviously not.
I did and you reacted sarcastically.
I’ll give you credit for the quote at least, what a film
Yeah I had the same reaction. Got ACL reconstruction in both knees, no meniscus in the right, and I squat more than double bodyweight and I want to do much more
I find there are a lot of folks that find the prospect of an injury exciting, because now they FINALLY have a reason to not train something.
Meanwhile, I’ve learned to say that I don’t squat heavy because I don’t care about squatting heavy anymore.
Thanks for checking in honey, you do what makes you happy poppy-flower
Whaaaaaat? My stars and garters ::clutches pearls:: I nevah
What’s an average Trump character?
Using the word average in ridiculous ways after how Pwnishr came at you for it, in the same thread. I think he just stopped like yesterday
Also using the word super and average in the same turn of phrase
Thinking about it a little more, I have some appreciation for what you might have been trying to do there. You might have been trying to ‘raise your words, not your voice’, in a way
I showed a buddy at work a weird trick one time. He kept forgetting stuff when he was leaving for the day and he asked me to remind him about some object if I was around when he was leaving. I told him I’d do even better and remind him now and then at the same time… (paraphrasing)…
Don’t forget to remember to not forget your keys when you’re leaving
Done!
The layers of negatives and positives takes some extra processing power, which I suspect the subconscious just assumes to therefore be more important, so it leaves it a little higher than usual in the memory stack. I made up all of that explanation, it’s just my opinion
I think I used to do sarcastic exaggeration a lot more for the purpose of communicating energy so to speak, but I think it evolved into overly complex repackaged repetition
Either one is much like a tax on a conversation though if it’s misused - and it seems like it’s in your habits rather than just a nice tool in the toolbox. Might be worth trying to become conscious of, but maybe not
You’re beginning to understand.
So, I should aspire to get knee surgery? That’s what I took from this.
I squatted without getting knee surgery.
I feel like the fact that this is what you got from what I wrote demonstrates the issues of this thread on a deeper level. You read into things meanings that no one intends.
I even wrote my message out explicitly; you have to train correctly. No mention of the need for surgery at all.
It is the overall attitude of the responses. Why do I need to do anything? I’m not a professional, this isn’t my job. And I’m not competing to show off my numbers. I could give 2 shits. WTF do I need to max out on squats for?
Squats aren’t even the be all end all for hypertrophy. It isn’t required, nothing is. There are ways around any particular exercise. I can get bigger legs, if I want them, in other ways.
Why do I need to do anything?
You don’t. I never said you did.
Again, read the words that are written. I said, if squatting is a goal, it can be done: you just have to train right.
This is the issue. Read the words: don’t force interpretations that aren’t there.
Ok, anyways.
I still squat. OHP press I just don’t do right now. I should get the shoulder checked out, but in the meantime I won’t be doing any OHP.
That’s fine. There are lots of movements I don’t do. But if you ever feel it’s injury that prevents you, let me know. I most likely know how to work with it.
