Have You Ever Beta Orbited a Girl

He owes me 100 bucks dude, you’re not even getting 711 taquitos.

my point was that in a picture it’s about cuts, and your stomach

This is true

But this implies you are confident in your physique cough photo cough

From that photo? No

No they usually mean visually great, or at least decent, not peak condition

I am confident but for a photo shoot to impress a bunch of fucktards on T Nation ready to rip me to shreds?.. well, I’ll have to hit a hard diet, and cut down some weight to lean out the abdominals first.

Art vs artist, physique vs person… I think most people here are capable of that distinction

Also- (I believe) most of the people here would be impressed with something decent. Not flipcollar type shit

*Edit

My point still stands

I would say the vast majority of consistent posters on these boards are extremely honest about who they are and what they have achieved. I don’t sense a lot of bullshit among the regulars.

I don’t think so. If you are not in shape, I think people wouldn’t say much or would probably offer advice. If you are, you’d likely get complimented. Also, if grown adult poke fun at someone, that says something negative about them.

Like let’s say you’re carrying some fat. Are we really going to be taken aback by this, especially if you have some muscle too?

Of course posting your picture on a bodybuilding site isn’t important but I think most on this board are civil. On others I’ve visited, some posters are awful!

I agree. I almost never see people getting torn apart on these boards anymore (it used to be the norm from memory). There are a few exceptions though, like those that get overly defensive and personal very quickly. I have a bad feeling greenboy may have already crossed lines that may trigger that kind of reaction, rightly or wrongly.

Yeah but sometimes it’s the opposite. Maybe it’s because I have low self-esteem but I did a photoshoot the other time and actually look better than I thought. Maybe I should post more on social media

Moral of the thread: I need to drop about 30 pounds of water.

We don’t want to see any transformation pics until you do! Maybe lay off the booze, huh? And put down the motherfucking salt shaker!

Edit: although to be fair to you, you’d probably look like Arnold in his prime, but more muscular, if you dropped some of the water.

I mean, I don’t want to brag or anything.

Write an ebook and make sure there’s an audible version. I’ll buy it lmao. I’ve gotten significantly leaner. Still no abs.

I’m fairly certain the secret is to control portion sizes on both, as well as whatever else you eat.

Are you threatening me?

It’s exchanges like this that keep me coming back

No one wants to rip you, just hold you accountable to your word. You’re a paranoid, silly little man

I wonder when we’re going to have the frank and earnest discussion about how women shouldn’t work because they’ll be ugly by the time they’re 35 but also not being photo-ready in your late 30s despite the fact that men age better.

I feel like I’ve heard this one before …

For some time I’ve said men don’t age like fine wine. That’s a myth.

A lot of us are athletes. I’m a performance athlete, not a physique athlete. So I totally get where you’re coming from. ‘In shape’, in my word, is all about performance. So feel free to share how you’re in shape if you don’t quantify it visually. What are you performing well at? Lifting, running, sports, etc? You mentioned way earlier a serious injury that derailed your athletic career. Is that still an issue, or are you now able to play sports at a high level?

I’m not the one that propagated it. It was part of the original kicked off lunacy.
