I’m not sure where people got this idea that I’m not in good shape or something. I’m in great shape. I’m just not “picture” ready. I’m carrying some water, and I need to get leaner.

The holding water issue is something you see in geared lifters. Certain drugs draw more water, and screwing up your protocol before you get on stage can have you holding water. Natural trainees tend to not run into this issue, and “held water” tends to just be extra fat that wasn’t lost in time during the prep.

I have to lean out, generally. I’m definitely holding more fat than I’d like around the stomach area. The top 4 abs partially come out. I need to do a serious cut, I just… I just enjoy steaks and beer too much lol

It’s about decision making. But you also understand why people take delight in the comments you’ve made about your physique in the past.

I think a 3 month hard diet I’d be real good. I’m going to do that before I hop on gear.

About 2-3 for me. Keeping carbs low goes a long way.
