I love this video.

I love this video.
Thursday afternoon:
BTN push jerk up to 205 (plus 10) The most weight I’ve ever successfully pressed/jerked. (though I don’t doubt I can bench more, I just haven’t yet) Cool.
I filmed it, I’ll post it later today.
Thursday night:
Bench - double at 190, couldn’t unrack 190 the next time and dropped to a double at 185. Unracking the damn bar was litterally max effort and was killing my elbows so I stopped.
The video is too dark to see.
Close grip 3,2,1. 3 waves, starting at 145 x 3, ending at 185 x 1.
Dips - BW x 20, 20, 21
No extensions for the next week or so to see if thats whats bothering my elbows.
Here’s the 205 lb BTN push jerk. Too bad it cut off the part of the FOV that matters.
Friday morning:
jumps, light power cleans.
also high rep light hammer curls and french press for my right elbow.
Article on the Barbarian brothers early on from a rather clueless writer. Still awesome

Friday afternoon:
speed DL (~1 inch deficit, cause of setup) - singles with 235 and about double the chain weight as before.
This was so fun.

He talks about as though they were a zoo exhibit
^ yeah, he sounds like a prick
Friday afternoon session 2:
front squat 3/2/1 - again starting at 165 and up by 20’s, got two waves, missed the second rep of the second set of the last wave (225)
friday evening:
Good mornings, did not get up to a PR set cause i had to go. I’ll be back
hammer curls - a few sets at 20, a few sets at 40
Friday night:
barbell row from floor - 6 or 7 triples with 205. (plus 10) Then 135 for high reps.
band pullaparts - lots
Thor blessed this session with a big thunderstorm and apparently a threat of tornadoes. It was awesome.
saturday noon:
BTN push press light, overhead position felt really good.
Band pullaparts = happy, stable shoulders
I wanna do some farmers walks soon
Saturday night:
OHP - 140 triples, not enough. Many more triples with 130. (some slight progress) Triceps were unusually beat but I moved on anyway to
Push press 3/2/1, starting at 135. Failed third rep of the first set of the second wave (145). NOT progression…
Skull crushers (instead of PJR’s) - many sets starting very light and high rep. Highest weight was 75. PUsh with the outsides of your palms
Wow. I don’t even need proof of how useful they are, I’m in love with skullcrushers. If anything they make my elbows feel better. Let’s see what happens if I get them up to 135.
I’m not at all sure whether push press is as good assistance as close grip. I think I get too much leg drive to hit my triceps with much ROM, and the bottom position (racked on my chest) is way different from how I OHP.
sunday:
band pullaparts because my right collarbone area hurts.
I cannot wait to kick the shit out of DL’s tomorrow. (330,1s)
Monday morning:
Hang snatches and jumps, slower than I would like oddly
Monday afternoon:
DL: 5 mid rest singles at 330. (plus ~5) (330 is actually a PR haha) 7 singles at 295 on the minute.
This was good.
The last 330 DL:
h
And a poorly done snatch for your critiquing pleasure:
god, i need a haircut
Cut the hair, grow a beard buddy ![]()
