im focusing on dl as well untill i hit 405
goodluck catching up to me squat aha ;D

much though id like to train, im running on empty after today.
Instead I will eat and sleep until I transform into Doyle Kenady.
I need to get WAY more protein.

same
^ I think ill bite the bullet and get some cheap costco powder
Sunday:
I had a very small window to train. You really can’t skip your cousin’s wedding…
OHP - 8 triples at 135 (plus a few pounds) They were a little sloppy I’m afraid. So I don’t think I progressed much if at all. Which I expected after the little deload. I’m back in it now though.
I woke up this morning wth both elbows feeling nasty at full extension. Totally better after some high rep hammer curls and french press with a 10 lb plate.
I don’t know what that was all about. Maybe I should stop skipping curls.
monday night:
DL - 2 triples at 305. Felt solid and fast. then 225 AMRAP (resetting each rep)
if i trained any earlier the heat would have cut my performance; if I trained any later I would be half dead in summer school tomorrow (Spanish test, yay!!) I’m gonna move my stuff inside so I can go back to training whenever I want.
A little training is better than no training at all…
Nah, I’ll be fine. Training outside is worth it. http://asp.elitefts.net/qa/training-logs.asp?qid=169564
OHP - 140 doubles strict and short rest. not enough. No progress as expected from not enough work last session.
by then it was too slippery for push press
PJR pullovers - highest weight 105 x 4
dips - BW 3 sets high reps
Push press may not be as good assistance as close grip. Still figuring it out.
you’ve come pretty far since the start of this log

Thank you, but this progress is hardly enough.
I believe I’ve finally gotten past all the dumb beginner mistakes (and wasted quite some time doing so, as I’m a stubborn asshole) and can finally progress at the rate that I know I’m capable of.
Or so I hope.

that’s part of your progress
wednesday morning
some jumps
I’m changing my system slightly to enforce short rests. As many singles as possible in 45 min, doubles in 25 min, or triples in 15 min. When I hit a good amount, I add weight.
wednesday afternoon:
Squat - 285 doubles. (plus 5 lb) Felt heavy as hell, but also really fast. Weird. Don’t let your knees come forward
front squat 3,2,1 - managed one wave, lost it on the 2nd rep of 205 in the 2nd wave. Wow. (started at 165, increments of 20)
Left hamstring got tweaked a bit. Probably from dehydration.

That’s interesting, does overhead pressing hurt your shoulders at all?
More Wednesday:
Played some football. I was the fastest person there! for the first 5 seconds at least…
pullups (felt great, no problems)
(CG - 170:1s, 165:2s, 160:3s)[/quote]
sorry, I been slack in keeping up with logs.
OHP doesn’t hurt at all. on that note though, I gave up seated bb OHP for seated wide DB press, since I want de boulder shoulder more than de big OHP.
saw somewhere that you should take your warmups seriously. YES. warmups are when you prime for optimal activation, bar/movement path, and muscle and joint feel. don’t just go through the motions with them.
Nice squat bro. Some videos next time?? ![]()

I’m getting outside my field, but have you ever tried arnold presses? Don’t just rotate your wrists, but kinda rotate the whole movement so youre kinda doing a lateral raise at the same time. (Great explanation, right? haha) For dem lateral delts.

Thanks man.
sounds like a plan, and while I’m at it I’ll film my bench tomorrow so yall can pick it apart.
Wednesday evening:
played some touch football. Now I’m starving.
Eatin time, and then I’ll do some good mornings and weighted pullups
Yay, I love pickin’ shit apart, mostly squats, it’s fun! analyzing other people’s form makes me realize my own form issues
