Harlem Athletics Video

Say this guy is skinny, come up with any excuse you want, but that doesnt take away how strong this guy is. There is no doubt in my mind if coached by the right trainer he could represent the country in gymnastics at the olympic games. - YouTube

I can’t do that, but have you seen what an olympic level gymnast can do? That guy isn’t quite in that league. He might have a shot though.

You’re saying he could represent the US at the olympics? Because he can do eight different kinds of pullups in rapid succession? Because he can hop from one set of pullup bars to another?

What about doing a flip? What about using rings? What about the balance beam?

This guy is well-conditioned.
He is not olympic material.

You’ve got to be kidding. Right? Please say you’re kidding.

That guy is strong for his bodyweight and yes, he does some pretty awesome stuff but I don’t know if you realize how demanding and hard being an international gymnast is?

Kids start training at 4 and don’t get to international level till about 10-16 years later.

That guy is late twenties at least. The sheer amount of time he’ll need till he gets anywhere near international level will make him at least early 30’s before competing and at that age his diminished flexibility and joint health will end his hopes.

Just in case you forgot what gymnastics was I’ll gladly refresh your memory.

Correct. to be a gymnast you need years of training and a variety of skills. He is strong though, but not quite strong enough.

LOL, I guess I got a little bit excited about the video, theres no way he could actually compete as is, and he is probably to late in the game to even consider it. That being said i’m still impressed by his pull-up ability and I hope one day I can be close to it.
