Today was better than yesterday and the weight is beginning to move smoother for me as well. It may take me a week to get back into the groove of every day lifting.

Garage was about 100 degrees for lifting as was work for most of the day. My heat conditioning is going up. A good night and it felt easier today than yesterday. This morning I was sore as hell as a result of the first day of lifting in a week. Yippee!

Any idea of when your next meet will be? Also, 100 degrees? Once more I was bitching to a guy this morning that it was way too hot in the gym. I’m a wuss who complains about 78.

Crippler- I’m thinking about end of October or beginning of December for my next meet which will give me plenty of time to make significant gains and plan things out thoroughly. At least 4 months of training before the next meet. If I do it right there could be a national and/or state record in the near future. It’s currently 101 degrees here and I will be training soon so it’s all fun.

You are right. That should give you plenty of time to fix what you need to. I think our schedules are pretty close. After the meet next month, my goal is to make one in November.

Didn’t like my form on the 268 bench therefore I will take a day off today and do Standing Push Presses and return to benching tomorrow. Squats were strong.

Last night went okay but the great part was the temperatures had dropped to around 83 degrees due to thunderstorms so lifting with a cool breeze was slightly less sweaty and pleasant.

Though it seems like very limited pressing my shoulders took a beating from the push presses most likely due to the accumulated stress from work and previous days of lifting.

Deadlifting was flat and my strength wasn’t there. This routine was fast only taking about 45 minutes and that may have accounted for some of my loss of strength but I’m just calling it a poor evening for lifting. Today’s another day.

Felt sluggish, didn’t have much motivation, and I was trying to tell myself I should just be lazy and take a rest day off, that 5 days this week was good enough. So, I punched myself in the balls and had a decent lift day and it ended up feeling good.

Ball punching is a little extreme lol.

Crippler-It hurt a little but it worked. Have to admit it was an accident that happened while I was moving things out of the lifting area to get ready to lift.

CG’ing more than you benched at the meet just a few weeks ago is impressive.

Thanks Dave. I was ill at the meet so that might account for my loss of strength there. I haven’t lifted in 2 days due to an overwhelming amount of work lately. But, tonight I am having a coffee after a couple hours of rest from work to give the weights a hefting. I hope my strength is good tonight because the wear and tear on my body has been tremendous the last 3 days. Today I did today’s work and tomorrow’s so I could take off for the 4th.
