Had a vigorous day at work and I was a bit worn, out but once I got to lifting my energy picked up a little and I zoned out the fatigue.
Squats:
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x 3
445 x 3
Fat Gripz(Extremes) Bench Press:
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 3(paused)
245 x 3(paused)
255 x 3(paused)
Sumo Deads:
225 x 5
315 x 3
385 x 3
Standing Crunches:
70 lbs x 20
Bench felt heavy tonight but probably because I did a lot of tree trimming today and my shoulders and upper body took a hit. Doing deads every night is working out good so far. I figure as long as I don’t over do it with many sets and not making too large of increases in my top weight I’ll be fun.
Worked hard today and was even more worn out than yesterday so I took a nap and then I lifted.
Front Squats:
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x 1
Front Squats(With Harness):
241 x 3
411 x 3
Fat Gripz(Regular-blue) Bench Press:
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 3
245 x 3
261 x 3
Deads(conventional):
225 x 5
315 x 3
405 x 3
After a coffee I felt great and the lifting went fairly well. Haven’t done front squats without the harness in a while and having the bar with 315 on the front of my shoulders was killing me so I racked it after one rep and got my harness on for the remainder of sets.
Thanks Ya’ll. Slow and steady weight increases should add up in a couple months. If things work out and I can compete in July like I want to I plan to be front squatting 500 lbs or better for 3 reps and maybe around 600 lbs for a 3 rep back squat set. Bench goals for 2 months from now will have me in the mid 300 lbs range for 3 reps and I am being aggressive in my goal setting.
Tonight the lifting went fairly well but I admit my energy wasn’t that high and my thoughts kept revolving around going to get a Blizzard at Dairy Queen.

My chest and arms didn’t cooperate for the bench but besides being a bit beat up squats and deads were easy.
@NHLFTR-Thanks, yeah the zercher/front squat harness is a real bonus I am thankful to have because it eliminates so much stress on my wrists and shoulders which helps me concentrate on the movement without sacrificing form or any muscle activation for full ROM.
@brotardscience-thanks man. The consistent lifting does take its toll though.
Thanks Joe and OG. I really appreciate your remarks. I thought I was going to get some nasty lifting in this weekend however there was a massive family invasion of events and frivolity that erased any chance of me getting gritty with the iron. Today I had a grueling day at work and it was about 93 degrees which zapped my energy so I rested and lifted.
Squats:(raw)
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x 3
460 x 3(used a belt and I kind of felt ashamed that I wanted the support)
Bench Press:
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 3
272 x 3
SL Deads:
225 x 5
315 x 3(It felt like 500 lbs so I called it a night)
Standing Crunches:
70 lbs x 20
My body was feeling cranky today for no reason I could determine except maybe work was a little rough but I had two days of rest so I am a bit baffled by my fatigue. Most likely I will be much better tomorrow and this day will be a faded memory.
Thanks Joe for the props on the SLDL. I would like to push the SLDL higher into the mid 500s for 3 reps in the next months.
My original plans to lift every day or at least 6 days a week have been shot lately. Being in the low 90’s here temperature wise has really been kicking my ass at work. I’m still lifting bulgarian style but for now going only 4-5 days a week because I’m worn out.
After working in the sun most of the day and then coming back to lift in my garage in the evening the temps are still in the mid to high 80’s which isn’t too bad because I’m in the shade. It’s hard for me to deal with being so exhausted and unable to perform more work but I am trying to swallow my pride and take some days off for better results. Frustrating!
Another hard day at work but it rained this afternoon and cooled the temps down so tonight’s lifting was at only a cool 75 degrees so I was thrilled. Lifting went well.

Accidentally titled SD 555 but it was 455 lbs. Happy with progress right now.
So, remarkably I slept for 8 hours last night. I felt pretty good today but decided not to push myself too much with heavy weights because I’ve been going fairly hard and I have a lot of work coming up the next couple of days.

315 x 3
405 x 3

That was a deadlift with a short farmers carry. Gotta take credit for every little bit.
