500 Atg, I want this bad!

I would love to hit a 500 raw squat just once in my life. Just f-in-a awesome GV.

Another good night of lifting after I had a huge cup of coffee, did about an hour worth of rolling, wrapping, and smashing of various body parts, and embraced the pain.

T-Handle Swings:
100 lbs x 2 sets x 20 reps

Squats:
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x 3
405 x 1(No belt, no nothin’)
505 x 1(belt)

Fat Gripz Bench Press:
135 x 10
185 x 5
225 x 1
255 x 1
260 x 1

Svend Presses:
40 lbs(4-10 lbs Plates) x 3 sets x 20 reps

Face Pulls / Triceps Push Downs (Giant set using 50 lbs green band)
3 x 25; 3 x25

Standing Crunches:
80 lbs x 20 reps

Doing more LAX ball rolling on my hammies now, following lifting(as usual), and then later some electro stimulation(the good stuff-shockingly good). My daughter had fun riding her bike and doing jumps between my sets as well as some dancing so it’s all good.

45 minutes lifting time and all went well. Much more in the dead lift tank.

So another day of lifting is in the books.

Wanted more on the deads but considering other work done I felt pretty good about tonight’s lifting.

@Crippler-My legs actually felt pretty good but I did do some electro therapy and LAX hamstring rolling to smooth things out afterwards.

Thats what I call a session with alot of substance and no fluff, nice.

Thanks Matty. Unfortunately, I only got about 5 hours of sleep last night following the lifting and I’m wiped out now so I’m taking one day off.

Had a strange wake up this morning. I am not sore in any part of my body. This is weird. I’m not in pain in my lower back or my legs and I don’t know what is going on. I may not even be irritable at all. What the hell!?

Looking strong GV. Cherish those days when nothing aches. Fewer and farther in between these days.

You should see a doctor right away! :slight_smile:

Maybe you are just doing too much recovery work, if you back off you might be in more pain. I think I always seriously underestimate how much good all the foam rolling, nerve stimulation and diet do. You have been pretty religious about and seem to be getting less banged up over time instead of more…

I saw my doctor today and he said I should lift extremely heavy for several days and that may return my normal aches and pains with sides of grumpy and cantankerous behavior but I must remember to not get enough sleep and eat as little as possible.

Great lifting as always GV! the 500 trap bar looked easy for you. And if you need grumpy and cantankerous I always use the evening news…

Thanks fellas. The lifting went well tonight and I was lucky to have a little bit of lower back soreness return after work, later this afternoon that I had to do a bit of therapy to relieve so all is according to schedule.

I’ve doing band face pulls and triceps push downs several times a day(whenever I venture into the garage and 1 set of each for 25 before and after lifting). Everything moved nicely this evening and my daughter helped me pass time in between sets by practicing making silly faces and doing silly dancing exercises(active rest).

This, I don’t need it to be ATG. I just need it just below competition depth.
