Adam is the man, I gave him 4 months of my training journal and a few videos and he just delivered. Every week he tweaked things based on what he saw in my videos and performance. The guy knows his stuff and gets The best out of you
You don’t post on rawpl.com by chance, do you?
I had the opportunity to train 1-on-1 with Laura Phelps. she and her husband Shane helped me dial in my bench technique. I double paused my meet best a month later.
Tightened up…I’m walking around at 194lbs…that’s a pound less than my cut weight.
Got a GHR for my home gym and literally use it every day.
Just started to toy with sumo pulling.
What I have planned ahead:
Work travel schedule has squashed my Fall meet plans. That said, all the raw 198 40-44 state records in my Fed are well within my reach (+25lbs squat, +30lbs bench, I own DL record, +5lbs total). So my goal is to own all of these or drop to the 181s and own all of those in the winter.

Glad you are back.
Yes, apparently I have an open invitation to train there. I get to cinci a few times a month on business so looking forward to it.
GHR Id love to see a vid of you doing this. Ive been adjusting machine at gym we just got, but it is a bugger to move around. Thanks in advance :)
Thanks on vid, the one at my gym is similar but the pad is more round. I just worried i was letting my knees drop too much, but he does it in vid. Im going to try the foot pad part a notch closer, that may help me.
Thanks again.
Up, thanks…that was one of my favorite meets many years ago. really push against the back plate on the ghr to keep you snug against the round pad.
Off season strength training is in full effect.
I’m working on developing a sumo deadlift gradually using an 8 singles with 45 second rest template every week increasing 20 lbs till I fail. Today was 385 day and the weight felt light and fast. A friend of mine is a monster sumo puller and swears by this. My warm ups are still conventional and I’m sure worse case scenario it will strengthen my hips for squatting.
All other main lifts are going to be 5 rep based for a while till I target the next meet then I’ll go back to HTS training fresher, stronger, and confident.
Speaking of HTS, looks like I’m going to get to train with Adam Hires in about 3 weeks while in the Midwest on business. I’ll make sure to get video of that one.
