Hanging Pikes & Hanging Leg Raises

Anyone find it difficult at first performing these exercises without swinging back and fourth when you reach the start position. I had a hard time doing raises without swinging back and fourth an had to point my toes down to try and have the ground stop my momentum. Any advice?

Keep doing them. Concentrate on keeping your abs and lower back tight to prevent the swinging. Over time, you’ll get stronger and be able to do them without swinging.

You need to engage the pevlic girdle. Squeeze like you would to stop taking a piss as you do the exercise and you won’t swing.

Thanks for your help. If Im doing CW Quattro Dynamo, It wouldnt be bad if I added leg raises to the end of 2 other workouts?

Also a more controlled eccentric. Sure explode on the Up motion but try and control ther down portion and stay TIGHT. Even mny fat butt can do it LOL.

Stop doing them and do other strengthening moves that you can do correctly.

These feel like core exercises. Im used to straight up lifting. But i can’t stop, otherwise I won’t improve and I wouldn’t be following CW QD program.

You won’t improve if you cheat an exercise. I didn’t say don’t do anything, I said do what you actually can do to build up strength.
You don’t have to follow someone else’s training plan to the T. Personalize it.
