Yo! Not sure if anyone here does any killing in Halo3. Acctually I’m pretty sure many of you do. Just because you know, it’s fun. Anyways, I’m always lookin for people to play with and I know that many of you would be fun to kill some people with. So if anyone wants to Hit me up it’s UDUDLRLRBASLST
I know I know the Konami code is actually UUDDLRLRBASLST but I was going off memory when I origionally did it and don’t know how to change it.
I’m currently a captain Grade 3 but I just don’t play much lone wolves and I have about half my games in social because I was afraid to play ranked when I first started because I was bad. I plan on getting a few stars or maybe even a bird someday in lone wolves but for now I just enjoy killing people with my friends in social and ranked slayer and BTB.
If there is already a T-Nation Bungie group just steer me to the link and i’ll join up there.
I still play occaisionally at one of my friends and former roommates house. He stole my screen name, Uncle Gabby. So if you kill an Uncle Gabby, that’s him. If you get killed by, that’s me.
I’m undecided on whether I want a 360 or a PS3, if I get a 360 I’ll definately be back on HALO.
I’m really fond of Call of Duty 4 right now. Graphics are amazing, you can shoot through walls. Rather than the old rifle butt, they’ve got a knife attack which I find addictive. I just about played through Turok for the old N64 using just my knife.
Haven’t you played enough halo in the last 7 1/2 years? I don’t see how people are still playing it. I own it, played it for a few hours, then started to think about why I bought it in the first place. It was the most over-hyped game of last year, and I’m so glad that it didn’t win any awards. Go play Gears or something; atleast in that you don’t have 12 year olds whoring battle rifles and snipers 5 seconds into the game.
As for playing for the last 7-1/2 years I never played 1 or 2. Halo 3 is my first run at it and I guess I am just getting hooked like the people who did on 1 or 2. As for 12 year olds hogging weapons? I generally play with a group of 3-8 friends so I usually have good teams. The purpose of this networking attempt here is so that I can ALWAYS play on a team with people who are mature, have fun, break balls and will play as a team. This is what makes Halo 3 so fun in my opinion. The ranked Big Team Battle they just released is great. 8 on 8 with vehicles and all sorts of good weapons. When you give good backup and get good backup and play as a cohesive unit it really makes things fun.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the gameplay and graphics of Gears. I just don’t think the Multiplayer is as good.
Also as a side note, I constantly hear people complaining about the 12 year olds. First off I know a few 12 year olds who are simply sick at Halo, and you were 12 and annoying once two so cut the kids some slack. At 12 I was playing NES in my basement. I thought it was the shit, I can only imagine what it must be like to have no responsibilities and have access to a game like halo3. It must be like a constant mind orgasm for these young kids, so I can cut them slack and even enjoy some of the crap they do bacause hey, when I was 12 I would have done the exact same thing. There is nothing like watching a couple 12 year olds get some of the older players all riled up. It’s priceless.
There’s kids online who are a lot younger than twelve who know their shit. It’s like their brain has adapted from birth to function in a video game environment.
I used to play Call of Duty 3, and one time there this 5 year old kid barking orders to our team over the head set. “Deploy smoke grenades over the river! Their snipers keep taking out my .50 cal gunners!” His voice sounded like Kyle’s little brother Ike on South Park. We laughed our asses off, but he knew what he was talking about so we did what he said and kicked ass.
I like call of duty 4 way better because of graphics and the realistic aspect of it. I’m getting a job so I can buy a 360 because most of my friends got a 360 and I want to be able to play them.
I’m a Gears man myself, never could get into H3 multiplayer. I just bought COD4 and it is damn sweet. Haven’t gotten into the multiplayer on that one yet though.
Well I do drop in very rarley here and there. I generally have been relegated to reading the articles and not posting much. I do go check out my “other” thread also to make sure she is still alive and well. As for this thread? I was just playing Halo 3 the other day and getting stuck with idiot after idiot. I had this one young kid who did nothing but sing the entire time we played.
I can handle all the ball breaking, but cutting off your teams communication is just retarded. Anyways, I knew there were a bunch of cool nerds here that played Games and I think I remembered Kuz and Prof X saying they played Halo so I just thought I could add to my friends list and reduce those nasty no friend times where I have to play with idiots.
I do have to say I have played with some funny or cool people in random also and usually add them as friends.
i played it at my frieds house like a week ago, i was merkin people way higher rank than me cause the person i was playing with plays all the time. its crazy how fast i picked the game up but if you ever wanna play my name on there is: sup bruh
I guess if you haven’t played halo before it would be fun. I had a lot of fun with the original, but I got really turned off by it once they turned it into a close quarters shooter in halo 2. It’s absurdly easy to rely on the radar, which takes some of the strategy out of it. I actually think they did a good job of balancing the weapons in the transition from halo 2 to 3, but I just wish they had changed the way it played a little bit.
I hear ya. The nice thing that I have found, and maybe this is because they recently put a fix on the Melee system, but People aren’t so quick to go in for the melee anymore. I mean sure it’s still used as a last resort. I definately prefer the BR to all other weapons. I do most of my killing with it and keeping people at a distance is not too hard if you have your controller set up correctly.
What draws me to the game however is the aspect of being overpowered and or outnumbered and still having a shot at getting out of the situation alive or even taking down the huch stronger foes. Like for instance, You are half perched behind a rock trained on a chokepoint waiting for some dumb fool to come strolling through and instead you get a warthog. Now in most instances a warthog will be hard to dispatch if you are the only one going against it. But if you can time a good grenade and flip it then launch another grenade into the flipped vehicle to kill the occupants, it just feels good. Likewise Taking out a guy who you know is camping with a shotty by either making him miss or sticking him and then escaping without dying just feels really good. Oh and gettign a triple kill with a BR feels good to.
Add to that that there are a real lot of available weapons so you can basically customize your battle experience to how you like it. If you don’t like the close quarters crap, keep your distance and pick people off with long range weapons. If you love blowing crap up, grab the missle pod, rockets, laser, flame thrower, whatever and just destroy people. If you love the in your face close combat with the beat down finish, do that. If you love them all, do them all. If you like driving vehicles, play BTB and do that. I’m not trying to argue that Halo 3 is the best game ever or anything, but it is great fun, and addicting.
