totally agree with V… the aspects of the game… group playing in slayer, team doubles, going lone wolf, or big team battle. all the options are there.
When did they nerf the melee? The shotgun+rifle butt to the face was my favorite. Instant death.
For you Call of Duty 4 players, I just had the chance to mess around with it at a friend’s house. Do they have any vehicles?
The only downside to Halo is that everyone else on the planet is so damn good at it, including my friends! I can’t compete like I can in GOW. Speaking of which, GOW2 is coming in November!!
When I’m home, I usually bounce between GoW, Halo 3, and Team Fortress. I just have a Sargeant’s rank in Halo, so if you feel like rubbing elbows with the enlisted look me up.

its fucking addictive. good thing to only being able to play it at my friends house is theres some moderation over how much time it can take up. downside…sometimes im really fucking bored and just want to turn my brain off for a while.
How many months do you get free online play when you buy a 360?
1 month I think, its only 50$ per year. Recycling your beer cans could pay for the subscription. Or recycling my beer cans could pay for the subscription. Your choice.

I play rainbow 6, Call of Duty 4, and Halo 3. I’m decent at all of them. I’m the Lamar Odom of First Person shooters. I’m average… a strong average.
Cool Cool, I am going to best buy tonght after work and getting a surround sound reciever that can handle my Xbox and my HD cable box so I can have surround on both. I just tried to order one of the HTIB things and quickly found out it didn’t have what I needed. Too bad it was a nice little setup for $275, just needed an optical digital audio in and an HDMI input.
I’ll be adding you guys later tonight, if all goes well with the setup. I also could end up throwing some high priced electronics through a window, and then sit there regretting it for the rest of the night.
One last thing about Halo 3 that I find addictive is exactly the point some of you make. For as long as I have been gaming, there isn’t a game I have played where I didn’t become either very proficient at it or downright nasty. There are dudes out there in halo land that make me look like I just picked up the controller for the first time. So in that sense, I haven’t really beaten the game yet. Sure I beat the game on legendary solo. I now have to do it with all the skulls on and then I have to become a general without boosting.
Then I will feel accomplished and will finally see my addiction to the game go down. Either that or in a few months I will stall out and get frustrated and move on to another game. I’m sure there will be like 12 great games out that I would be able to switch over to. Actually, Golf season will be around in another month, so i’ll probably quit playing all together untill next fall.

My gamer tag is screebles. I haven’t played much lately, but I played tons when it first came out(Halo 3).
I like to play other games as well, but the only online game I play is Halo. My highest level is 45 (team slayer).

Do you play Gears? I feel like I’ve seen your gamertag.
There’s a few of us on T-Nation that play together from time to time.
