Makes sense though.
Walking is for digestion; everything else “cardio” does, weight-lifting does better. BF% is mainly about diet (assuming proper thyroid hormones).
I beg to differ on the cardio. There’s evidence that both cardio and weight training are necessary. But glad things are coming together mim!
Oh hai pretty spidey! I have always done best as far as fat loss results when including BOTH.

I think Hall was meaning that until I get more stable on the right amount of meds no amount of crazy cardio will do me any better than just keeping it basic for now. Unleash the crazy-ness when I’m close to optimized.
Right, Hall??
Yes keep it simple while you’re getting optimized exactly!
arachne12 wrote:
Oh mim, I totally agree. You need to make those decisions based on YOUR health, and YOUR body. I was just politely disagreeing with Jeffrey of Troy. I used to believe lifting was sufficient for all my exercise needs. My own experience and research indicate this is not true, and that some general cardio-esque or conditioning work is quite useful.
/hijack Hall. Need more lols.

5 x 65
5 x 80
3 x 95
5 x 105
5 x 120
5+ (10) x 135
These were definately the best max set I’ve done in a long time. Nice and deep and plenty of them felt very good. Happy with this. If I can keep this form through the next two weeks I’m considering upping my squat max for the first time since my re-set.

10each x 40LB EZ Bar
10each x 40LB EZ Bar
10each x 40LB EZ Bar

Yep, your cardio is your daily exercise and that all looks good. Fucking starting the week by kicking my ass. This is no bueno. Plus now we have what, like 4 other people competing as well?
Awesome job on a workout and you are extremely cute! I wish I still had my lip stud.

lol. I actually didn’t think the lip was too bad. Everyone said that was painful, but I didn’t mind it. What sucked was my belly ring. That shit hurt. I think he hit a nerve or something. I had to take mine out for work reasons.

OMGHEE Your daughter is SO HELLA BEAUTY! wow!
I will have to post some pics of my Dollbaby Neice Alyssa.
In the meantime I found this goofy pic of me “HELPING” make sugar cookies in one of my Grandmas albums. Um, yes I LOVE COOKIES ![]()
aww, that is really sweet. She’s my heart…
I have many pics you can stalk on FB ![]()
One of my fave things to do with my girl is make cookies while she “helps.”
Nice eats. Seeing your cocoa nibs, I just remembered I bought a small bar of dark chocolate (y’know, for the polyphenols…that’s what I’m telling myself anyway) and promptly forgot about it. It’s still in my jacket pocket. I’ll be having that tomorrow I expect.
Treadmill was running or walking? Treadmills at my gym only go up to 6% (or at least the last one I tried did). Of course I can’t be running right now.
A) Awesome squatting
B) I thought DF was blonde too
C) Cardio sucks balls. Do you listen to music or anything? I realize I can only deal with cardio if I am outside and I have something interesting to obsess over, ha.
D) Sexy outfit. I look kinda awkward in a skirt/dress of any sort, BUT i do think I could pull off a pant suit if I needed. ![]()
Kicking ass and takign names NICE
I have always hated cardio - usually to the point of not doing. I love lifting, but cardio is a real struggle. Trying hard to keep it in consistentl, now, for the first time. That stair stepper is biotch! So, I feel ya dawg. ![]()
This is my first time doing cardio consistently as a way to help lose lbs. Using Hall as a good example, I believe!!!
No one wears a jail house uni like you do! Love the junk in the trunk.
Hallowed you said in a post that thank God you didn’t have hashimotos…any reason why?
I’m not Hall, but I have Hashi’s. It’s more common in womenz.
Hi ![]()
Hashimoto’s is an auto-immune variety of thyroid function where basically your body is ATTACKING your thyroid for no real good reason. With Hashimoto?s disease, the immune system makes antibodies that damage thyroid cells and interfere with their ability to make thyroid hormone.
you can swing UP(and be HyPER) or crash and burn and go HyPO still have awful symptoms even while on meds.
Here is a good link that explains it well!

Basically it is my understanding that it is harder to regulate with Hashis because the attacking antibodies swing up and down on their own. When they are uber attacking more incomin thyroid hormone may be needed. I say “thank god” because its one more complication I just don’t need! This is hard enough to treat as it is.
BIG HUGS MIMS!
