Hai there!
Thanks for sharing your story - really inspirational. Kudos to you for staying positive and motivated despite all the factors that were outside your control. Gives me more ammunition to kick my own ass into gear!
Btw, no clue what y’all are talking about with the blonde vs. dark hair, but I’m here to represent the gingers since we don’t seem to be getting any love.
We LOVE GINGERS up in hurrrrr!

Very inspirational story! Glad everything worked out. Some people would have just quit altogether after losing only 5 pounds in 12 weeks. That was me when I started working out with IH regularly. After 4 months or so I’d only lost like 5 pounds. My diet was shit though, so that prolly accounted for the lack of pounds lost, but I know my body comp was changing.
I have a question about food. I had asked you if you cooked and your answer was a resounding “HELL NO!!!”. So, how were you able to follow a diet/meal plan without cooking? Did Erik Ledin give you a plan that was noncookable (if that makes sense)? Do you cook now or still buy food from Trader Joe’s and the like?
Okay so me not cooking is a total exaggeration. I cook egg white pancakes, EGGS, and also will cook meat. That is exactly what it sounds like. Buy two pounds of ground chicken breast and cook it. Buy two pounds of lean ground beef and cook it. Then I just use that 4oz or so at a time for my meals. So more accurately I don’t cook RECIPES or MEALS. Yes I do buy TONS of pre-cooked food at Whole Foods or Trader Joes. I am at Whole Foods probably four nights a week. I refer to WHole Foods as my “wifey”

Great to see that whole story. That is quite the journey. It is pretty terrible how bad endocringlogists can be. I went through 5 doctors so far trying to get someone to treat the synmptoms and not the lab results. Its crazy to think how much research I have done yet i swear i know more than these doctors and i havent even got to medical school yet. It really hits home when i see so many others on this site that struggle with the same thing. I started treatment over a year ago with some of the same symptoms. I could barely get myself to classes and work and my body temp was 96 or 95 all day long. And i am still stuck at the bottom range of normal of T3 and just recently was finally at least perscribed T3/T4. For a year i was T4 only and T3 levels never moved.
Sorry for injecting my own deal. Its great to see you have a good doc. HOpefully you can continue to get closer to getting at those optimal levels. But as long as the symptoms are getting better that is one positive.
Also nice job on the squats. It was my squat day as well today. You are gonna be moving more weight than me soon i gots to pick it up.
I am SO LUCKY that I found and have been able to pay the thousands of dollars to get treatment at Holtorf. I actually was paying out of pocket for the Endo too. She was on Mary Shalom’s Top Docs list. Um,NO. I guess some patients must have liked her because she is NICE and LISTENS. Still she ended up directing my treatment based on TSH! Ridiculous. Its a long fucked up journey and absolutely INFURIATING to me. Like seriously I GET FURIOUS. T3 is the shit. T3 is where its at and I am so stoked to get so much of it with no one waving crappy ass Synthroid in my face. YAY!
