Gym Walls (Gym Complete!)

They sell these giant sticker appliques that are reusable. I would paint the wall white and then try to find one that is a Hamburger and Milkshake. Put the Milkshake on first and then the Hamburger slightly overlapping it.

Kinda like this if you aren’t familiar with the giant stickers:

Of course you gotta find a company that sells a Hamburger design and a Milkshake design.

The benefit is design quality would be top notch and it would be removable or just moveable if you ever wanted to change its location or when you do eventually move out.

If you can’t find a Hamburger and Milkshake giant wall sticker, have your friend paint it on and you’ll just lose the benefit of being able to change it. Would still look awesome.[/quote]

I think this is an awesome idea - this place does custom removable decals

http://creativesignsandgraphics.com/lifesize-removable-wall-decals.php

I think you should get the above done. With a couple of customisations (i.e. Better face)

I was wondering if there was a place to do custom removable wall decals. Then you could pay Iron Dwarf to do a sweet burger like in his avatar and a milkshake for you.

Oh and inspired by the main page of the site that kanew linked to do the customs you should also do your favorite bodybuilder in lifesize.

Who wouldn’t want a 6’2" Arnold poster or 6’1" Pudz on their wall. Then you look at the burger to remember how to get there.

Print out a big courage wolf poster. My favorites are “Kill the weak/use them for fires” and “Now you realize that everything is easy.”

ask some of the T-Vixens to send you some “inspirational” pics and have them blown up life size. if that won’t get you pumped your dead!!

come on ladies. help the guy out.

I’ve done this a long time ago, cool on the site but printing out 120 pages and then trying to tape them all just right is a huge pain.

Paint a mural of your mom and sister making out

It will motivate you to keep your rest periods short.

I’d go with cinnamon. Maybe some cumin for some bite.

^^ oh man that’s a great idea! Cinnamon and maybe some cumin! That’ll look swell!

Why not just focus on lifting and getting huge eh?

Keep the lights low, the music loud and heavy and do your shit.

Well that doesn’t make any sense

I’m not postponing my lifting to do this man, I’m getting up tomorrow to tear down a non-structural 18 foot wall in the basement in order to take steps toward finally getting the gym in usable condition. Putting some letters or a sticker on the wall isn’t exactly going to interrupt my training, and it’ll keep my rents’ off my back. Also, an update. I bargained with my pops and I now have 170 sq ft to myself. Current ideas include getting a projector and slamming something obnoxious like (but not actually) “GO HEAVY OR GO HOME” or some other annoying but not obscene shit, like (heaven forbid) “TESTOSTERONE.”

Thanks again for all the ideas so far btw, I’m contemplating a picture of the 800lb franco deadlift. Its like $20, cheap as hell for a poster.

I have Swank, Hustler, Club, and Penthouse pages adorning the wall right in front of my squat rack. Just go to your local liquor store, you can get like 4 magazines in a bundle for 3 bucks.

Since this thread is already here and about walls, I finally got the time to crack open a seltzer and work at the gigantic wall in my basement. It was completely non-structural and broke the basement up too much, as well as was a general eye-sore. So today, I crowbar’d the entire thing down.

As I began working, I was like “who the shit double-layers 5/8” drywall?"
So I popped off the first board with ease, thanks to my Herculean forearms (jk).

This is what I found.

Yeah, I was like “what the shit?” I popped off the board next to it.

Its what I get for moving into the ghetto.

Paint a mural on the wall or get a friend with artistic ability to do it. It would be so tits.

Just keep that as your motivation to continue your path of self-improvement or else end up being one of those weird mofos.

This could be pretty cool.

OK, 48 hours and a shitload of cursing and a few friends over to help later, I finished. All the machines, dumbbells, racks, and the Bowflex (fuck you guys, its a decent enough pulley machine and all I had, it wasn’t my choice to get it but I inherited the freaky thing) are now in place. Pics will come tomorrow guys, thanks for all the help from my “how2remove carpet” days to my “omg im gonna die asbestos” days to my cursing and sweating on the mats day (today)

OK - its getting expanded later but now its 170 sq ft (10 x 17) and 100% labor done by me. No cash to hire a contractor, but I think I did a decent enough job on the floor.

To save you guys from killing me, its just links to (badly) angled pictures. They kind of rob the depth of the area. Not pictured is the roman highchair (power tower with the pullup bar hack saw’d off) and inversion bar (good widegrip pullup applications + holy crap check it out guys im upside down).

Dumbbells go from 10 to 80, with 450lbs of oly plates and like 300lbs of standard plates (casually inherited all the standard plates over a long time)

Trap bar, paralell/tricep bar coming on tuesday, 5 foot oly, 7 foot oly, etc.

yes i have a bowflex as a pulley machine it works fine enough don’t make fun of me you heartless bastards

Thanks again for the help brahs, I’ll be painting the wall above where all the dumbbells are lined up sometime in the future (original purpose of this thread)
