Sup guys. I’m going to start doing the German Volume Training program in a few weeks. I want to base my training around the calender week, rather than a 5 day cycle that the original article recommends. Would this be all right? I’m also going to do some sprinting as well as the luke sauders calf routine, so I figured I could use some extra recovery time.
That should be fine. If you are using 3 different routines, then do routine A on Mon, B on Tues, C on Thurs and A again on Fri. Then start the next week on routine B. As for the sprinting and calf work, I would do these after your workout but it also depends on the intensity of your sprinting.
I would do what Jason says but train on a 2 on/1 off 1 on/ 1 off/ 1 on 1 off cycle…So in other words train on Mon, Tues, Thurs and Sat. and just alternate the workouts. This will give you a bit more recovery
