GVT question

ok guys, i got a question for ya. in about a week, im going to be starting massive eating and the original GVT program. i was wondering if somebody could help me with my exercise selection. i plan on doing squats for my quads and pullups for my back. but i also want to work deadlifts into my split somehow (deads are, without a doubt, the best mass exercise i have ever tried). i want to work deadlifts into the program, but im not sure when to do them?? any suggestions?? thanks!

Hey…I’m doing GVT right now, and i’m pretty happy with the results, but when you are in the gym it has got to be the most boring shit i have ever done, but it is worth it. I was tring to think of a way to incorperate deads into my routine when i first started, but i don;t think they are really needed. i have been supersetting stiff legged deads with squats though and i swear i have puked three weeks in a row - and my dumb ass is going to go and do it again tomarrow, but i love it. I have also been doing back bridges everyday…
good luck…you may want to throw in a set of deads as suppliment work on chest and back day. Supper set them with butterflies, i honnestly think that would lead to overtraining. or just do them everyother back work out.

You can work deadlifts in by following the split TC made for GVT2K but do all the excercises for the original GVT. Just add in the excercises for the other body parts not included in the orignal GVT. That way you’ll hit all your bodyparts which the original program doesn’t do adequately while still doing the original GVT. So still do 10X10 for every excercise just change the split.

I think whopper gave me this routine and I gave it a try and I liked it. Just don’t use it for more than 4-6 weeks. You lift day 1-4, take one day off and repeat the cycle. If you feel you are overtrainig, take an extra day off somewhere. Day 1- Decline DB Bench and Pull-ups. Day 2- Deadifts and DB Military Press. Day 3- Incline Bench (keep elblows in to focus on triceps) and Standing Curls. Day 4- Squat and Calf Raise. Day 5- off. Then repeat. Superset these exercises and take between 45-60 secs rest between the supersets. Also, make sure you use a strict tempo, 302 for most of the exercises. Hope this helps.
