Gunman in Edmonton

so there’s some nutty guy who thought it would be a good idea to take a rifle into a building downtown edmonton this morning. this shit’s happening right out my front door. cop cars blocking roads for blocks.

why do people do this kind of shit? how nutty does one have to be to think this is a good idea? it’s at the worker’s compensation building downtown edmonton, alberta. does the setting of this little tantrum have anything to do with this guy’s motives? he’s got hostages and everything. weird happenings.

pics or it didn’t happen brotha.

the revolution is coming my man. stock up on beans and bullets.

here are your pics

Excellent survival combo! the beans save you from needing a gun to fire the bullets…though a little vasoline may help.

Its like the fat kid stuck in the skatebowl grew up.

He obviously didn’t get his unemployment check. This is the best way to get it.

What kind of guns are those cops holding in that picture? Doesn’t look like the standard MP5/M4 tactical response team fare.

WCB doesnt do unemployment cheques… That is a thing called Services Canada.
WCB deals with injured employees and work safety.

My guess is the guy woke up this morning and finally realized he lived in Edmonton. That would eventually drive me to kill some people too.

damn gunman is ruining everybody’s day. i was too busy watching the news and missed half of ep daily.

Lol, Edmonton.

He might just have got the last unemployment check he’s going to get for awhile.

I’m headed to Edmonton this winter on business!![/quote]

business? in edmonton? crack or hookers?

I’ve talked about this with a lot of people so far, and everyone is suprised that it hadn’t happened before.

Apparently the organization is a nightmare to deal with, regardless of whether you have a legitimate claim.

Bring warm clothes, it gets a little chilly.

the weapons in red are clearly ar15/car15 type rifles.

of the two weapons not highlighted, im willing the bet the guy closest to us is also carrying a 5.56 type rifle.

the guy in the back could just have a custom stock such as this one that would change the shape of the weapon.

most likely though it is the telescopic stock from a submachine gun such as mp5 or ump

Thanks Mac… I guess it was a perception thing, the guy in fronts mag looks a little too skinny to be a 556 but it could very well be… even looks like a MagPul mag maybe. And it looks a little weird cause those stocks must be at full extension.

seriously? so you think arming yourself and taking hostages is a proactive way to deal with getting jerked around by the system?

i’m surprised that the people you’ve talked to are surprised this hasn’t happened before. how unstable are people getting?

Been there before in winter. Reminds me of home.

He was probably just heading downtown to put in a complaint but then got even more pissed off at traffic and construction.

How long are you visiting this joyful winter wonderland?
