Reading posts like this that makes me glad we didn’t

Now let’s have pics with women holding the guns…

But he already did that in point number 1 you genius.
Wow. You guys sure are sensitive about your “right” to bear arms. An American solution to an American problem I guess. I’m not even going to bother reading this thread again so feel free to lay into me. Or shoot me. Or whatever…

I’d still like to know how many of you guys have a loaded gun within reach for protection. Purely statistical. I know a lot of guys who own guns and none of them keep it loaded for protection.
I keep my .357 mag loaded with .38spl JHPs in my nightstand. I live alone so there’s no chance of some kid wandering into my room to play with it. If I know I’ll be away from home for awhile, I’ll lock it up in my safe.

I would like to ask two questions.

 1. Why do you guys need these guns? (Remember, need, not want is what I am asking and having a “right” to something is not a need.)

 2. Do you guys actually keep these things loaded 24/7 for protection?

This is a thread for gun owners showing off their collections. If you don’t like guns, don’t read it. If you wish to discuss the psychology, ethos, or philosophy of gun ownership, open a different thread, preferably in the political forum.

Yes, many Americans are. Then again, we were able to shrug off English rule a couple hundred years ago. Your countrymen are a little further behind, no?

G19 with me all the time loaded in a holster. SW 4506 at home with a few magazines. Lots more in the safe.

I have a .45 in a drawer next to my bed. It is not loaded, but I have a loaded mag next to it. So the difference is a matter of about 2 seconds.
