Gun PrOn

And wow AR-15 which is pretty much a m16 renewed to look all pretty and modern. I’m trained on the ak-47 and 74’s but i would never own one the stoping power of a truck but heavy and shit to hold.
The f88 styer has always been my fav nice and lite it can take a beating.

Doug I don’t think they make the hk 23’s any more, i think you can still buy parts but not the weapon.

And no im not a massive gun head, i just recently left the army and always thought it was a good idea to know what kinda of stuff people would be shooting at you so i got into researching weapons. Now it’s a hobby

p.s I don’t think any of the weapons shown above would be used for sports, maybe good to fuck around with but none really fall under the sports bracket.

I’ve still got no idea why they allow you guys to own them, but have fun with them you never know when the south will uprise

sounds to me like people outside of the usa are jealous! but don’t worry after dem’s get in office, you better believe shit will change. better stock pile now.

Jealous nar, i like the feeling of knowing i wont be shot when i go to class

if they had more guns on campus(which utah is debating)this shit would not happen. you’ all got it ass backwards.or be like endland and aussie. and ban damn near everything.every screw up law has started in england. example seatbelt laws, helmet laws, gun laws. yep good ole england.

I would like to ask two questions.

  1. Why do you guys need these guns? (Remember, need, not want is what I am asking and having a “right” to something is not a need.)

  2. Do you guys actually keep these things loaded 24/7 for protection?

A comment about my last question

I bet if you did a study of how many people who own guns actually keep them loaded and in an easily accessible area in case of an intruder, you’d find that the percentage is incredibly low.

Keeping the ammunition and fire arm in locations not close to one another would not exactly be beneficial for protection.

I honestly hope no one who own’s guns in this thread has any history of mental illness. I don’t wanna get shot.

They’re still available for civilian purchase. We can even get the silencers too, but they’re an additional $800 and have a 6 month waiting period.

It’ll be awhile before I buy one because if I have $2500 lying around anytime soon, I’m buying a HDTV and PS3.

I know it is not suitable for hunting, but I could not think of any other legitamate reason for owning it!

Thats whats so fooked up, if you buy a gun like this do you have to fill out any forms to say what you intend to use it for?

Guns are only for two things.

  1. Hunting dangerous or delicious animals.
  2. Keeping the King of England out of your face.

Ah, simpsons. Is there anything they can’t be quoted on?

This is a thread for gun owners showing off their collections. If you don’t like guns, don’t read it. If you wish to discuss the psychology, ethos, or philosophy of gun ownership, open a different thread, preferably in the political forum.

You can’t buy full auto weapons. The OP’s 9mm is probably not full auto. You CAN get full auto weapons at gun shows in states like CO. but congress is working hard to close that loophole.

So, yes, you can buy an AK-47 anywhere in the US (my friend just did) but it will most likely fire like any other semi-auto rifle.

Bullshit. Buying a full auto firearm can be done in about half of the 50 states merely by:

  1. Paying for the gun,
  2. Filling out a Federal Form 4 containing your personal info (with passport photo), gun info, and a certification from local police department that you are allowed to own the weapon under local law,
  3. submitting 2 sets of fingerprints,
  4. and submitting all of the above with a check for $200 to the ATF.

http://www.atf.treas.gov/forms/pdfs/f53204.pdf

I’m unaware of any pending federal legislation banning the ownership or sale of fully auto weapons.

AK-47s are typically classified as assault weapons. Notwithstanding that the federal assault weapon ban has expired, certain states (California and Massachusetts, for example) have their own statutes banning their sale.

You forgot to correct him by one more point: Congress doesn’t work hard. Well it stopped working hard 4JAN2007.

I’d still like to know how many of you guys have a loaded gun within reach for protection. Purely statistical. I know a lot of guys who own guns and none of them keep it loaded for protection.

yes, i keep one loaded by my bed.

better to have it and never use it, then need it and not have it.

Same here.

I agree with this. At least you have it for its intended purpose.

And better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6!

And Canada has legal 10rd mags for the AR style weapons through a legal “mishap” in which pistol mags can have 10 rounds, and the AR pistol mags “happen” to fit in the full size rifle. The wording on the law regarding mag cap. makes this all well and dandy, but police will fight you to the death on it.

Also, my AR-180b-2 is a black, Ar-15 style firearm, but is nonresistricted because it doesn’t use the stupid gas-blowback system the M4/M16 uses. Pistons all the way! (Like my M14!)

Beretta 96 on the nightstand loaded. Remington 870 by my bed loaded. Those are the only guns I’m going to admit I own in public.

mike

…and a supersoaker XP500 in the garage…

I only own a Red Ryder spring bb gun, .22 semi rifle, and a .22 bold action rifle. The .22’s are older than my dad around WW2. Now my grandpa and dad’s lists would take forever.

As far as I’m concerned the AR-15 is a terrible piece of shit. I don’t know if it is the gun or the NATO round that I don’t like. Probably the NATO round is what I hate. I’d much rather shoot our AK-47. The noise is deafening but the accuracy is superb and the recoil is barely more than a .22.

The penetration on an AK-47 is insane. We use the wooden part of railroads as our backdrop for target practice. It can easily punch through 1 and sometimes 2 of them back to back. Now these pieces of wood are old but hardly any rot on the outer surfaces.

I don’t have much experience with handguns. Not because they weren’t available but mainly just because I prefer to shoot a rifle. I like to target practice with .22 pistols every now and then. The only real pistol I’ve liked shooting is my dad’s 9mm Ruger.

Maybe next time I go home I’ll try to get a pick of me attempting to wear/hold all the guns at once. Hmmm…I think I need to work extra hard on my squat and deadlift if I’m gonna have a chance.

Slogan of this thread should be: Lift Weights So You Can Carry More Guns!!!

Yea ak’s do have alot of stoping power but if you were trying to hit a moving target at 200 meters or even a 100 meters you would really struggle but what ever you hit stays hit. The ak 74s are a little easier to hold on to and still have the stoping power but i still wouldn’t use one over some of the others floating around.

The AR-15s are not bad, ive never shot one but i have shot m4s and m16 etc and they are meant to be on the same line.

Personally i prefer a weapon to be lite and not heavy. Unless we are talking about the big boys like mag 58s and the f89’s but i doubt u guys can get those type of weapons or can you. I hope to god you cant lol

As for having a gun loaded by your bed, thats insane what happens if a little kid gets ahold of it and shoots himself, or your house gets broken into while you are not home and some body steals it.

Lol@ limeys and ozzies, see you guys should have rebelled against your king.

We can have the biggest guns we want cuz we are not afraid to take some royalists bullshit.
