GuineaPig’s Training Log - Hunt 300 Deadlift

I would… I love this gym and I love machines and DBs but rn not really worth the trouble especially if the belt squats are alright.

This is pretty neat for some exercises ranging from weighted push ups to running around weighing more because fuck ur knees

Try some platz tempo squats/constant tension. They are gold!

There is no resistance…everything is resistance .

Average squat day after work.

Double Pause Squats up to 155kg x 3. Tried out the belt squat set up and it’s kinda a bother to set up. Guess it’s off to the newly reopened gyms.

Gyms opening again here with booking requirements and time limit of 90 minutes. I miss the toys and could use the variation for hypertrophy all over. Unfortunately the powerlifting kit is at my mates garage.

Tried both out today: sped thru some comp lifts/variations (block pulls and reps at 170kg) then drove over to the gym for bench/DBs and hamstring. All in all it took about the same time as a normal sesh because I was pushing the pace and not much travel time because everything’s close in a medium size rural town

Bit of a bother but if I transition to some volume emphasis should be fine rushing thru getting in work. Be nice to have a break from the high intensity anyways. The app will take a minute to adapt to the increase frequency but I’ll just be conservative in the meantime. Won’t be every sesh but it’ll be a fun switch up overall because I usually take my time

Damn you.

It’s early days in our not race race to some undetermined arbitrary landmark incline press. Whoever believes more will win in the end.

Mate you made those 50’s look easy and you made me miss doing dumbell bench.

Ye. Surprisingly not too far off my best (50kg x 12) considering haven’t touch DBs for a while. Definitely be hitting them consistently now that we got access again

Damn son!

Is that good relative to me bench? What does it mean? It must mean something. Must interpret training data to inform future training

It means you’re a strong boi. And yes, pretty good compared to your barbell bench, I think.

I think does indicate a relative weakness/strength in the pressing musculature. Don’t actually know what though.

Your bench is really good, but your DB pressing for some reason is exceptional.

What’s y’all ratios at @Koestrizer?

Part of it is because they look really smooth, and you look like you could easily go for 2 or 3 more reps at least. If I could pump out 7 reps like that at 50, I am pretty sure I would be at least pushing 140 on the flat bench, and probably a bit more.

Your asking the wrong guy about benching, buddy  . I just do it too rarely and often with long breaks inbetween.
My best horizontal press was a 140 kg “hicks press”, which nearly killed me, haha. The heaviest db flat bench I could find in a quick search of my log is a 4 x 8 @ 44 kg after a 4 x 8 push press.

The two did not happen simultaneously at all. Don’t know if that is of any help, haha.

I guess a ratio would be somewhere between 80 to 90%. So in my mind, that would have been like the equivalent of flat benching around 120 kilo 7 to 10 times.
