Did some back raises as well today. Seems promising: works me posterior chain I feel it, nice rep range and close enough to failure to be a solid stimulus. This isn’t even my final cheat deadlift form. I’ll get thiccer than ever and lift more than ever. Who knows we might make 300kg natty.
Forgot who told me, but for the back raises, you can hold the plates behind your head. Totally gonna make you work harder for it
I think that might work with a 25kg but I think I’ll be using > than that soon. Snatch grip on the barbell me thinks to get some ROM
Use bands for added resistance.
What does 100kg of bands look like?
No idea. What bands do you have?
A bunch at me mates place. Dunno how heavy or which are the right size for the range of motion
Can always try them and find out.
I dunno dude. I don’t fancy deloading as I go further into hip flexion
Everytime I check in you’ve got new equipment lol
Nice work on the pause deds too.
Pls help. I have a problem.
Only problem you have is that you keep getting stronger. Seems like a good problem to have.
Been a good year. Don’t see why there won’t be more gains to come
I agree if you keep this consistency and don’t do anything stupid you have a long way to go yet.
That’s some nice Jeff Nippard stuff. Go fer it
Isn’t he that jacked fake natty midget evidence based boi
Fixed it (?). Lol. Don’t really wanna argue about the fake natty part, I just like how he presents his stuff. Makes sense anyway.
All I know for sure is he is manlet goals. Muscle on a smaller frame looks good. He likes his literature reviews and individual studies. Personally I don’t find dropping a few studies compelling. I like guys who synthesise all the things, big picture perspectives and principles I can takeaway.
Evidence is pretty weak in this field overall, contradicts itself often enough and is subject to individual differences which kinda fucks it all so I get my info from peeps who put it the lot of it through the lens of their extensive coaching experience. Wouldn’t put too much faith in individual studies or even lit reviews. If there’s a general pattern emerging it’s probably legit but I think u know that a part of evidence based practice is acknowledging there ain’t a good answer sometimes at least at the moment.
Dunno if Nippard coaches strength much but even for hypertrophy I’m covering my bases with Helms and Israetel I think (funnily enough they differ on a couple of big things). I fill in the gaps with experience based stuff which is a lot in powerlifting because many lifters/coaches track their training data and put together approaches. With enough lifters while it isn’t exactly legit science some patterns show up in the approaches of successful lifters.
Slow cooker went aight. Checked it this morning needs a bit more time. Makes cheap cuts tasty enough was expecting some melt in mouth action but maybe the YouTube videos exaggerated that.
Not feeling too bad from yesterday’s sesh. In all fairness didn’t go mega big. Lot of volume though so we’ll see how I pull up. Can say I’m doing better nutrition wise than ever before so that’s something. Still working on sleep etc.
You’re starting to sound like me.
I just find that even though you could do more work, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you will make better progress from it even if you can still recover. The whole point is to get stronger, not to get better at doing more sets and more exercises.
