Truth. While beautiful, wildly unnecessary for home gym use.
They offer reasonably priced thin steel and cast iron plates. Meme deadlifts aside I’ve grown quite fond of thin plates. Feels solid.
I’d actually like some bumpers because I have pretty much only thin-ish cast iron ones.

Some people get a lot out of bumpies. Probably needs an acclimatisation period to get the most out of em. There’s a fair chance they throw u off and u pull less because if u r use to pulling slack and getting tight in a different position. The extra slack u get needs to be kept pulled transitioning into the actual pull quickly because it is technically whipping back down just as hard as you pull it up due to elastic energy and shit.
Nah I call cheating still. Would give at least 40 kg more.
In all seriousness, I have no idea if I directly benefit from more elasticity in terms of added kg’s but I do know I prefer the feeling of it. I will chose a deadlift bar over a stiff one any time even though I probably don’t really pull more on it.

smooth like butter… once i get this looking a little smoother im bout to push out my stance a bit. my mobility has gotten alot better the past few weeks
Is worth a go. I’m this wide now for only a few months. Don’t think I’m tall enough to go plate to plate on a deadlift bar. My femurs are only so long. The further I get from feet stacked over knees gets more awkward to execute and I’m not sure the further reduced ROM is worth at this point
