W2D1 Prep I
Disappointing session today. Just was not ready enough and nowhere near meeting my expectations. Came in and ended up hitting the minimum I wanted for today which was a small PB squat triple with 165kg which moved terribly. Ain’t much but it’s honest work.
TnG bench went surprising well with a casual equal rep PB of two plates x 12 with a few in the tank. Wasn’t in the mood to push it though following squats so stopped there.
While other factors contributed this was probably one of those days where I should’ve erred on the easier side. Still need to work on training smarter.
Those plates with the stainless steel rims are so legit. lol need me some
If u have that kind of money u can drop me some too. These ones are Ivankos and aren’t made anymore but I think a bunch of brands make chrome plates ATX, Strengthshop etc.
Feeling down after shitty squat sesh. Big picture things is pretty good though so that makes me feel better. Luckily the Sheiko Gold app generates nifty info graphics for u:

W2D2 Prep I
Feeling beat up in general so light sesh today.
Tempo Deadlifts feeling good actually but still kept it light with top set 180kg tempo deadlift (forgot to tempo the last rep though lol old habits).
Never done tempos before and mostly just slam the weights on regular deadlift so hopefully a productive variation. Nice base to build off and will see what we can make happen with these.
Nothing special but recovery work. I hate it but is necessary.
Extra rest day for Chinese New Year. Tasty food, chill day, spent at least an hour on a massage chair.
Watched Bad Boys Forever which was surprisingly deep for the premise. Great entertainment.
Will hit a big SBD sesh tomorrow to compensate. Happy Australia Day to all u guys on the forums. Australian or not we are all good mates here.
W2D3 Prep I
Scheduling a bit off with Australia Day and Chinese New Year so SBD day today.
Pause deads were a bit sloppy but hit some PRs: 200kg for a triple and 210kg for a dub.
Doesn’t happen often but PB triple on bench @ 115kg and double @ 120kg. The secret is in the pinch grip bench cue from barbell medicine. Thanks
Ain’t much but it’s honest work. I think I may need to push myself a bit more on bench. I feel like there’s gains to be had. If I’m here on a half arsed day after a bunch of lower body stuff maybe theres even more in the tank.
I’m really interested to see your RPE 10 on deadlifts, haha. Those pause deadlifts looked ridiculously easy. Crazy strong, dude.
I’d call these an 8 maybe. That’s the beauty of a pause my friend. A good pause will always look good (technique wise) and feel hard depending on how close to max u go. The difficulty is in maintaining positioning/tension and that’s hard work but will build technique
Blood blister is still going strong and hook grip crushes it directly so looks like I’m gonna be returning to mixed grip for a while.
Grip strength has never been the issue for me but I imagine in the coming weeks I’ll be pulling heavier with mixed grip than ever so will see if the bar slips out of me hands.

End of summer break not too far away now. Life is going to ramp up between work starting again and full time masters degree stuff.
So for a the next few weeks I’m gonna get the Sheiko Gold app to chuck me some off season volume (Prep I) while I can get in the gym often and longer. Build some muscle.
Will switch onto a strength block (Prep II) when gym time gets limited probably stay away from volume a while.
