This will be written on my tombstone, fucking preach that everyday of the week ending in Y
Did you end up getting any for yourself
I hope you at all those doughnuts and had a litre of milk with them
Unfortunately the nearest KK store is 80kms away
I had a 4pack though from 7/11 to reminisce the good times when there was one at the end of my street though
Oh well still got donuts in you. Dunno why Krispy never really kicked off in Australia. There’s a couple dotted around the place but small ones. The one I went to was in Campbellfield (I Think) because I was out in that direction and it’s a big building with a fucking drive thru and I’m just like whoa.
Lol no. They seem light but after a couple it fills you up. Needa stay on the diet anyway lol
Yeah we used to have a drive thru one but it was pretty gimmicky, lasted 2 years
Now they have two hyuggee ones in Sydney and that’s it
Must be tough to have enough demand to warrant a massive store. The one In Campbellfield is in a real good spot though: 5m from a train station on one side and a main highway Sydney Rd on the other
Looks shite bruv lol
If I have one of these I literally can not stop eating them no matter how sick I feel. 12 is easy.
I’ll eat anything im a fatboi lol
Wait lmao @guineapig i was supposed to post that in my log. Just realised😂
@chris_ottawa yet to get under weight with the Lilliebridge Wraps just yet but playing with them a bit tonight and wrapped up.
So impressions are they are tough to stretch almost to the point of seeming stiff but once you pull on them they stretch. Much harder than the Inzer Zs like the difference between the generic sting knee wraps and the Zs. A level above
Thicker too and surprisingly this seems to make the wrap more comfortable than the Iron Zs not sure exactly how maybe they don’t dig in as much.
Thickness combined with the jump from 2 to 2.5m I can actually see how wraps can make start to make it hard to hit depth. May have to use an x wrap or two
Didn’t pull up too badly from all the food yesterday. 86.8 this morning.
Carbonara for brekky. *italian noises
13/12/18
Rainy cold stormy weather today. My favourite. Good for lifting and sleeping.
Decent nights sleep for the first time in a few days so am hoping to put all these calories to good use for a good heavy squat and conventional deadlift session and a bit of OHP carrying over from last sesh.
Squat
Wraps rolled up and ready to go. @chris_ottawa
Squats didn’t feel too hot warming up but got better as the weight got heavier. Feeling real good actually. Don’t think I’ll rate the fatigue lower though
Top single at 170kg in wraps moved well. “Upright” is the cue I’m finding I use with wraps so as to counter the tendency for hips rise up faster than my torso a bit and load up the wraps. I think of it like trusting in the wraps and sinking it. I have done some reps where I bitched out a reversed a bit early and the rep was shittier for it.
Might try the cue with sleeves too… and it’s working like a charm. Very nice great success
The Lilliebridge wraps are next level. It’s a workout to put them on (and roll them back up) because there is a lot of force needed to stretch the stiffer material (than the Iron Zs) but every extra bit of stretch gets you more out the wraps.
So far I’m only going 60% max tightness I think. Be quite taxing to go super tight but it’s make for some sexy rebound. That being said it pops me up out the hole plenty already and I can hit depth with some weight on the bar but not BW.
Bit surprised that the Lilliebridges are much comfier than the Inzer Zs. Might be the thickness. Because of this they are easier to walk out in (might be beneficial if I walk out in comp or training).
Tbh the difficulty of pulling stretching and getting the full potential out the wraps makes it feel like these wraps are for stronger blokes than me as weird as that sounds.
Bench
Feeling inconsistent but not heavy. Just not as tight and accurate as usual in my technique. Got in the work nonetheless.
Conventional Deadlift @ 140kg
Top single @ 180kg for lols. Rest of the work at 140kg. Pretty chill DL overall because it was on a deadlift bar and starting to get tired towards the end of the workout. Have only had a coffee and the carbonara today.
Only hit 20 Total Reps of OHP (meant to be 30) as 60kg was going Overhead got a very strange feeling of lightheaded ness and dropped the bar. Was moving easy but that feeling scared me so I’ll call it there. Done plenty of work this sesh anyways and I’m happy
Good squat seshes for me are rare as fuck so happy with this one. Hopefully a sign of better things to come
Am getting more comfy with the mono. Even if one side moves more than the over if I drive into it then I get a better tighter back position. Looking at the video that shit isn’t bolted down and is moving a bit. Inb4 the monolift gets knocked over. When I max in a few weeks will probably be in the squat rack though for safety and shit
Well, Eric Lillibridge does squat over 1000lbs. If you can get decent rebound without wrapping too tight that might be better for you, at least for now. Tighter = more rebound, but with the side effect of it becoming harder to hit depth, it’s a question of figuring out what works best for you with your squatting style.
So keep going tighter until I can’t hit depth or something else messes up.
I’m not even squatting much but I feel like the weight would push you deep enough no?
More or less
You would think so, but you have to stay tight with heavy weights and that means that your body’s tension combined with the tension from the wraps can make the last couple inches hard to squeeze through. If you just let the weight push you into the hole you won’t get back up.
Hmm kk.
