I didn’t think anyone else knew about this game. This ranks in my top 3 baseball games ever. The other 2 are equally absurd. Loony Toons basketball was a pretty sweet basketball game.
Really? Damn. My brother and I had this game glued into the console for a looong time.
Here’s one for you: Baseball Simulator 1.000. Ever heard of it? Without google.

Wow, need to make sure I don’t brag about being on level 50. I refuse to use the FB part of it (I don’t have or want FB), so I have to wait days of trying to get the “tickets” you need, and have to stop playing for hours for my lives to refill up, only to burn through them in minutes.
yep. I’m certainly not posting requests for lives on facebook, nor am I about to spend a dime on the game. 100% RAW/NATTY.
Most impressive, how long have you been playing it?

Still my favorite all-time baseball game ever.
that was one of my other top 3. I always played that with unlimited special stuff. The pitch you could control was ridiculous. I also really liked the hit that made the controls backwards. The rocket hit was kinda fun too.

I think around 2 months? Not positive. Potentially as long as 3 months.

Yeah it would seem they dont, but theres still some solid and nostalgic titles being thrown out there.
Yeah probly, but I still think my first two are pretty guilty pleasure. For me anyways. I mean, bubble bobble? lol
I wouldn’t call Bubble Bobble a guilty pleasure, that was the best co-op NES game. That was co-op before I knew what co-op was.

battletanks 1 &2 (N64) jet force gemini (N64, im only person i know to have beaten this)
I have some very fond memories of the BattleTanx games. Played through them again on an emulator fairly recently too, I think. Simple game, but tons of fun, and I really enjoy the post-apocalyptic world it’s set in.
I have also completely beaten Jet Force Gemini. Well, tag-teamed it with my little brother. Walked in front of the TV one Friday, threw down a stupid amount of pages I’d printed off an online guide, and said “We are finding every one of those fucking teddy bears this weekend.” Or something to that effect. It was tough, but we did it. I pulled a similar stunt with Diddy Kong Racing when I declared we were unlocking TT one night. Took all fucking night but we did it.
Somebody else mentioned Vigilante 8, I loved that game. Didn’t buy a lot of games when I was younger but rented that one numerous times, think I played through it with every character multiple times.
I also played A LOT of minesweeper when I was younger. I would play that for hours on end. I think my lifetime best times were: Beginner 6 seconds, Intermediate 36 seconds, and Expert 82 seconds. And no, I have no proof of those.
Not sure it counts as a guilty pleasure (do most of the games people are listing count as “guilty” pleasures?) but I would list F-Zero GX. I’d probably wipe the memory and start over but some of those story missions on very hard are so insane I’m not sure how I ever did them. I actually think there’s one I never did . . . might have to hook up the 'cube again . . . fuck . . .

My guilty pleasure? I prefer games to an average night out and poisoning myself.
What is poisoning yourself?
Serious question do you ever just go do fun stuff?
Go bowling, eat a pizza and drink a beer?
Go kayaking or wait you are in Canada so collect Maple syrup or make snowmen?
Drinking alcohol when you’re hitting the town, thank god I only do it socially and even then, not all the time. I like some drinks but the stuff that I get hammered on is hard stuff and I hate it.
ofc I do fun stuff but all the time? Nope. Studying, working or doing random things for the most part as I watch my money as a student. 15 quid just to go bowling? No thanks!
Metal Gear Solid and Dead or Alive for more recent titles… I am trying to master the controls for Dead or Alive and damn it can be a steep learning curve for some fighting games, last one was Marvel vs. Capcom and Tekken, got pretty good at throwing multiple partner combos and specials on Marvel vs. Capcom though…

Please tell me Ken Griffey Jr Baseball is the 3rd on that list, because that’s probably the best baseball game ever.

That’s a great game, but no, the 3rd is Super Bases Loaded. It’s way more simple than other 2 I mentioned (no crazy power ups or robots), but it’s still a ton of fun.

You sir, are a stand up individual for knowing baseball simulator. Damn! I play the Baseball simulator on the regular NES, not the super haha.
I might have to agree with you. I don’t play any other baseball games really than those couple and I did play super bases loaded. I actually hated Ken Griffey Jr. even though my bro loved it.
Bought Civ 5 Friday evening because of this thread. Had a lot of fun with it, got through Tutorial and part way through my first game. I just stomped Korea who was in the lead with highest score.
On a down-side, both nights I started playing late and went to bed at 3 am… sigh, its difficult managing 8 cities.

Okay good to know, you come off as very unhappy so just making sure you are okay.
My guilty pleasure was when I discovered Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on my son’s PSP. Game got horrible reviews and none of my friends played it. I probably put about 700 hrs into that game. The game is by far the deepest game I’ve ever played.
No one digs FF7? That was hands down a bomb ass game! Spent a few years on it as child.
Cloud > Claud > Claudan.
That is not a guilty pleasure, and i will fight to the death to defend that statement.
It is purely pleasure, no guilt.
I list FF7 as my favorite game of all time. I end up playing through it about twice a year and have since i was 11 years old and first got it. Too many good memories with that game.
Hm, somewhere in my foreign upbringing I lost the ability to distinguish between ‘guilty pleasure’ and ‘pleasure’… anyone?
Isn’t anything beyond my working-sets classified as pleasure/guilty-pleasure??? That’s what I read in a bodybuilding.com article
I think by guilty pleasure game he means one that most consider either not very challenging, childish, or outdated. Am I on the right track audio??
Yeah, something that most people wouldnt understand why you love it so much.

Your corruption is complete already. Say goodbye to your social life lol. Try to go to bed early–I dare you. It won’t happen. I don’t think I’ve ever managed to do it while playing Civ.
