Anybody seen that No Country For Old Men reference? It’s in the top left of the map, it’s almost perfectly down an axis line from the boat place along the coast. A lot of trucks and dead people and a case with 25 grand a little ways down, I really enjoyed seeing that.
There’s also a Big Lebowski reference
I really enjoy these references, I can’t wait to find more of them.
Completed the game today, I enjoy the final mission quite a lot, assuming it’s the “C” ending. I’m unsure how the other two are, but I expect they’re not nearly as fun, Trevor and Devin Weston’s conversation is glorious.
So, I’ve made about $4 MM on the stock market. Sure wish I could do that IRL…
Has anyone played online yet?
I set my profile up before work this morning, T-4 hours until game time!

Ya I gave it a go for 20-30 mins. I got into a fist-fight with another online player, won, stole a car, got the car stolen from me by another online player, but I got into the passanger seat and got a free ride, woohooo.
You can become ‘neutral’ so no one can fuck with you but that will disable you from fucking with others as well.

Nice!
Has anyone else been getting stuck at the “loading session” screen of the first race?

Still hating you
How far have you gotten now Derek? Have you got the minigun and jumbo jet plane yet?
Lets see, I was able to sell my house, buy a new one, move in (still doing that). Still manage 40+ people, keep my current office running, work on getting a lease agreement and contractor to build out the new clinic. Move my daughter and grandson into our new house (long story there). My wife is still 4 weeks out post shoulder surgery and is in a sling sleeping in a recliner. Work out 5 days a week, getting ready for the mudder.
I have a little bit of time to sleep somewhere in there and watch football.
I must of missed these missions. Are you working for Trevor Philips Industries?

Ya, I spent about 4 hours last night doing nothing at all. I’d load the game, it would freeze while loading or looking for players, and I’d try it again. I hope they fix it soon.

Several reports have said that their servers just couldn’t handle the load. Which really sucks for them since it was said months before that this might be the case and they did nothing/little about it, apparently.

Ya, there’s nothing like a company making $1B in 3 days, but half the game doesn’t work…
My buddy is on now and he says it’s working on the 360.
LOL at the 5 billion people who bought this game being surprised that the severs couldn’t handle a coordinated log in bomb at the exact same time.
Their main frame probably went insane.
PC mainframes are where its at. None of this console peasantry.
Man this is the best game ever
Just came back from strip club with Franklin to celebrate.
Made it rain on stage.
Picked up this black stripper, went for private dance (well two actually).
Then gave her a ride home and fucked her at her place. No charge.
^Lol, good times.
Finally got some good online play in yesterday. It’s not bad, but you have to constantly watch for other players. At least 3 times I’ve been “pulverized” as soon as I’ve walked out of a store. Plus people are fucking weird. Some guy kept following me and honking the horn. I’m like no dude not goin in a joy ride with some random guy. You didn’t even offer me candy…

Isn’t there a passive mode that disallows people from killing you? I’m going to wait until the servers die down a bit before I give online a bash I think, wait until it’s all sorted out.

Ya, it’s $100 bucks and I think you have to enable it each time you play. (In game $'s obviously)

That sounds rather unreasonable, though I suppose 100 shouldn’t ever be so hard to come by right? I hear there’s a multiplayer cash split, with like a bank account and all that jazz, sounds a little confusing to me but I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it.

Ya, killing another player = $100 everytime. Robbing a store is usually $1,000+ unless you kill the cashier to quickly. You can also sell stolen cars to the customs shop for a couple grand each time.
You have a bank account and I guess you are supposed to use it. I have been (you can deposit right on your phone or at an ATM), but I don’t know why. I thought any cash you have on you you drop if killed, but I don’t think that’s the case.

How does buying weapons online work? Does the weapon you’ve bought only remain with you until death and then you’re back to fists, or do you get to keep it and just have to restock ammo every now and then?
