So just found this site and am getting on GSD diet as pre-contest (doing my first show at the end of july). I was wondering if anyone had any good meal ideas for someone looking to get 1800 kcals a day under GSD diet.
I’ve been following the meal plan in the GSD outline article but let me tell ya, that has gotten old after a week of eating the same things every day.
So if anyone has some good ideas that would be great. Also does anyone else have a problem with flattening out on this? Here are my current pictures and I’ll put contest pictures up or and pictures at 1 month out.
Check the Anabolic Diet thread. You’ll find many tips there, since the GSD is very similar to the AD.
Also, when you feel weak and start to lose strength :
a) Up the fat(BEFORE the protein)
b) Don’t skip the carb load day, even if you’re feeling good
c) Eat more eggs instead of olive oil
d) Don’t skip the BCAA’s. You’re going really low on calories, don’t skip em.
Yah definitely not planning on missing BCAA’s heh. Didn’t know that about upping the fat before protein so thanks. Is it ok to substitute some of the veggies out oatmeal or something with a little more flavor?
I sell that to the customers, I keep mine in the special storage room haha. I officially hate GSD, I’m starving…always. It’s summer and the lake, the pool, the bars all call with lovely women and rivers of beer. Damn the wonderfulness of college and me not being able to partake in it.

Well, no. Oatmeal has a lot of carbs, while veggies have very little.
If you can’t stand the hunger, go on the AD. But then again, all diets which are needed to get lean are hard, so suck it up, drink water and chew bubblegum.
oh i’m dealing with it, it sucks but it’s going well. I’m actually enjoying cardio now because I’m not hungry when I do cardio. My stomach has shrunk and I don’t have a bloated look anymore. I’ll post new pictures at the end of week 2 on it.
