Grow! Whey or Metabolic Drive

I’m looking to buy new protein since im almost done with my old nasty protein. I checked out the store here and saw there are two types of Metabolic Drive and then theres also Grow! Whey and I’m just wondering what I should get, they all cost the same but I get 5 pounds of Grow! Whey while only 2 of Metabolic Drive for the same price.

What are the differences between the two? Which would you say is better and why? Also if there is a better protein than these two please tell me. Thanks for any help. Sorry if this has been asked before, I’m almost positive it has, but I don’t know how to search for threads.

Grow! Whey is more of a quick digesting protein so it’s best post-workout or when you need to dump protein in the body quick.

Metabolic Drive is more as an anytime protein since it is slower digesting and it is more useful in cooking.

I would say that unless you have something to mix Grow! Whey in good luck drinking it (yuck).

I kinda do need a fast digesting protein but is there really that big of a difference in how fast the body digests the two? I had a bad experience with my last protein it tasted so bad I wanted to throw up right after I drank it.

If I just mix it with milk will it not make me feel so ill? I took my brother’s tub and am having a fucker of a time getting through it.

I haven’t tried it with milk.

I tried it in 2 smoothies and it was disgusting.
I tried it in a weight gainer shake I make and it’s not bad.

If you’re looking for a great post-workout drink then Surge is your answer and is the quickest absorbed, but it also contains a good amount of carbs

I guess im kind of use to Grow! Whey so i don’t mind its taste. It mixes quickly and easily in water. I enjoyed it best however when I took one scoop Grow! Whey and one scoop Surge chocolate, thats roughly 36gm of protein, and perfect for post workout.

Surge with milk is just too sweet in my opinion. Grow! Whey is virtually tasteless but gives off a bad aftertaste. The combo works best for me.

But my favorite protein thus far is Metabolic Drive (low-carb) Chocolate. It taste so good especially with milk i feel guilty drinking it.

Grow! Whey with either a banana PWO isn’t bad.

If you take low carb approach you can add an egg, PB, cottage cheese, or FF cream cheese to it. I usually use less water so it comes out thicker (makes it taste better)

Get both and save the Metabolic Drive for before bed when the slow-digesting casein is better than the whey.

what’s actually pretty good is the Grow! whey mixed in with instant coffee granules first thing in the morning. tastes kinda like coffee ice cream.

Biotest makes two different kinds of Metabolic Drive, low-carb and Metabolic Drive Complete. Low-carb Metabolic Drive is just that, and Metabolic Drive Complete is more of a MRP. IMO go with low-carb Metabolic Drive since it’s got more protein.

Grow! isn’t all that bad, so long as you mix it with some friut and/or milk. I use both (Metabolic Drive & Grow). Low-carb Metabolic Drive ONLY before bed, and Grow! in the morning mixed with fruit (and also an extra scoop mixed with Surge PWO)

I have considered using MD Low-Carb in a PWO shake.

There was some good research showing a whey/casein blend as superior to whey for the smooth blood sugar response.

But Original Surge tastes so damn good.

I’ve been doing this, it’s not bad.

It’s not really the taste that gets to me, I can pretty much suck it up and chug anything, it’s that I actually feel ill with grow alone. I thought this may have something to do with it being quick digesting. So will mixing it with something make it easier on my system?

I’ve been mixing a scoop of Grow! with a 1/4 cup steel oats in the morning. This is realllllly good. Has anyone else tried this? I would put in a tablespoon of PB but I’d rather just keep the breakfast to P+C and not add any unnecessary fat until later in the day.

Alright I’ve decided to go with the Low-Carb Metabolic Drive. Which flavor would you guys recommend? I really don’t care as long as it tastes somewhat good. I’m also planning on mixing with oats in the morning and stuff like that so which flavor will be good for that? Also Should I buy Flameout? What exactly is it for and at what times should I take it? Thanks for all the help guys

Hi, it may be a newbie question, but whatever.

When do you use Grow! Whey? I know it’s supposed to be port workout but Surge is better no? Why use why then? Can you mix them, is it the price? I don’t understand.

Grow! is a protein…it’s just that. I use it to get more protein throughout the day. 2 scoops throughout the day equals 44 grams more of protein. Surge is strictly PWO. I use both, Surge only on lifting days PWO, Grow! every day to get more protein.

Ok, so you don’t have to use Grow! post-workout even if it is quickly assimilable?

Not if you’re using Surge.

If you are not using Surge, use the Grow!

Chocolate Metbolic Drive is my drink of choice 4 x per day, 20 - 24 times per week.

Can’t go wrong.
