If they contained good carbs i would pay 50% more for them than the crap they sell on the market now. I second the oats comment…
I’d be in favor of Grow! bars coming back too. I care just as much about texture as I do about taste. I love the crunchiness of “Zone” bars, however their primary protein source is soy, so I’ve kinda shyed away from them. Their flavors aren’t bad either, especailly the apple cinnamon ones. There’s my 2 cents.
PS - Thanks Tyrant Tim for taking the time to post on the subject!
$1.50 a bar (in bulk).
At school it costs $3 for a shitty bar, and I’d be willing to pay that for Grow bars. It would be great to pay $2 apiece for them in bulk, I’d probably eat 30-45 a month, but this would be in place of a lot of Grow powder I’d be ordering instead.
As for flavor, ANYTHING BUT CHOCOLATE. I hate that stuff, so anything else is great. Fruity (strawberry, banana or blueberry preferably) or peanut butter would be awesome.
I think $1.50-$2.00 is a good price for a quality bar.
Flavors I would like:
Chocolate Mint
Berries and Creme
Chocolate and Peanut Butter
Honey Oat
Sweet Vagina
Please bring these bars back, as they are truly a great convenience and help put some ease into the daily routine of eating to improve appearance and performance.
I would be very interested in having GROW! bars. 1.50 a piece would be about right. I try not to rely on bars to much because all of them are garbage. Either they have high fructose corn syrup, soy or trans fatty acids. I was a big fan of Tri-O-Plex, but they are full of soy, 75% of protein used in each bar comes from soy. Just in case anyone is wondering, I just tried the new Designer Tri-O-Plex clone “Kong” bar. It further solidified my support for the return of the GROW! bar, don’t waste your time with the KONG, it tastes terrible and doesn’t even have that great of a macronutrient profile.
I usually never reply to the thread because most of my questions are answered or at least the ones I could think of and I’m also very challenged when it comes to how to work my computer. I did have to reply to the Grow Bar thread. Please bring them back!!. I ordered 4 to 6 cases a month. Loved them. The idea about 25 in a box is a great idea. Also keep the labeling and box printing very generic or basic to save on printing cost. I would even pay up to 2.50 a bar if I had to.
You should sell 24 bar boxes, so each bar can cost less than $2.00.
About the flavor: use the same flavors you already had.
Another vote for the return of the bars. Price? $2.00 would be sweet, but not an absolute maximum.
In Faith,
Matt
I would pay 1.50 - 2.00 a bar, maybe a bit more. As far as flavors I don’t see anything wrong with the ones that were on the market. What about the double chocolate and blueberry that never surfaced? I definetly want to see them make a comeback!
I would support the GROW bars too. I for one really miss this product line since it was discontinued.
I really enjoyed grow bars the first time around. The peanut butter was great!!! This came as a big surprise because most supplement companies fail horribly at mastering this flavor. But as we all know Biotest isn’t just another supplement company.
As far as price goes I think a $2-$3 range per bar is very reasonable. As far as flavors go I of course am a fan of the peanut butter. The flavors Thibaudeau suggested are good tasting flavors and have proven to be best sellers for many supplement companies.
My biggest gripe about MRP bars is that they lack a significant amount of protein. I can’t remember the breakdown of the previous grow bars but if you decide to bring them back please make them with 35+ grams of protein with the quality proteins I’m sure you would use.
Lastly, please don’t ever sell out like many companies have and create half-ass versions of your surperior products to be sold at grocery and drug stores. Every week when I’m at the grocery store I stroll past the so-called supplement section and get a good laugh at the weekly soy-specials that have only “2-grams of impact carbs”. What a joke. Unfortunately most people just haven’t done enough research to know a sham when they see one. If you can find a way to make it happen, count me in for several boxes of grow bars a month.

Bring 'em.
I second (or third) the motion for using a good carb source (oats, flax, rice bran, etc.) in place of sugar alcohols. Combine that with a high quality protein mix and some real fruit flavorings (berries, cherries, etc.) and you would have no competition.

Agree big time.
I’ll chime in for the Grow! Bars, but I’d like to see a low carb version also, or something with a better carb source. High fructose corn syrup just doesn’t cut it nowadays.
Of course everybody needs to realize that if they change the recipe it’ll take a heap o’ time to reformulate and redefine the manufacturing process. Maybe they can just sell the old recipe until it shows enough profit to improve the recipe.
Whatever happened to blueberry and chocolate which were always advertised and never made it to market?
Price? At $2 and under I’d be buying a bunch of them.
Some company out there makes a whey protein cookie. We used to have some in our canteen at work. They tasted just OK, but I bet it was easy to make. They always sold out. How about Grow! cookies?
Or how about T-Nation beef jerky? Made with grass finished beef to maintain the omega-3’s.
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE RETURN OF GROW! BARS. PB, LEMON{LOVED THE OLD ONES}, CHOCOLATE CHIP, BLUEBERRY, ETC.
Tim Patterson said something about the bars being 95 cents including shipping and packaging. I would definitely pay that much. The cheapest deal I found is for $1.09 for promax bars (admitedly, thats a good deal) but I would prefer the Grow! bars any day (send the cookies and cream this way)
Thanks
JD
Hell yes. I would pay up to $2 a bar. If the taste was as high quality as the powder, and the sugar content was pretty low, I would have at least one a day, probably more. It’s not only about the convenience of something small and portable for the long hours away from home, but as mentioned earlier, the chewing aspect of it can make them more satisfactory than a shake sometimes. Any chocolate flavor would be great, and love the rolled oats idea as well. 25 a box is great too.

JD[/quote] Will you guys stop it and read more carefully!!! $0.95 is THEIR COST - NOT WHAT THEY WOULD CHARGE! Figure AT LEAST $1.75-$2.00 (which is still a good deal, IMO).
