I checked out the ironwoody website. The Woody Gripper looks great and the price isn’t bad. I’ll give it a try. Thanks for the info. I really apprecitate the help.

How can you display strength unless said strength is present? And if someone progresses from the T to #2, hasn’t he gotten stronger?

I just feel that in my case it wasn’t the grippers making my grip stronger it was pinch gripping and static holds, as I haven’t trained with my COC grippers for over a year but can still close the no.2 (checked last night)
I have the #1, 2, 3 and 4. Having no idea what I was getting into when I got the #4, it is the nicest and newest of them all (no use)
However the number one was a challenge for me for the first two weeks, it did not take long for me to conquer it. The number two came soon after. I only use the #3 for negatives now to try and finally get it closed.

Yeah it is a good gripper, it starts at a strength level softer than the CoC trainer and goes up past the #1 at least, I am not sure how far it goes, but if you find it weak on the strongest setting, you can always switch to closing it with say just one finger and a thumb.
It is more flexible in that sense, and cheaper than buying a whole heap of CoC, also, easier to regulate progression, increase it slightly, gear it up or down for strength or endurance, and it moves more smoothly than a CoC AND it is pre-loaded ie it is hard from the start of the move, instead of going from 0 to full strength over the whole movement as a crusher does.
And you can hang weights off it using a rope and do lifts with it whilst crushing it.
I also have some metolius hand grips which are meant for training for rock climbing but they are pretty good for doing some finger work.
