Hi, i recently purchased a bag of flaxseeds, come in form of the little small seeds, not the powder kind, how do i go abouts grinding it up?? or taking it as it is the same thing??
I’ve tried a food processor or blender like machine with no luck…
If I’m not mistaken, people around here have suggested a coffee grinder. You might want to do a search on hear for the two in combination.
Let’s see, what else can I remember…
You probably want to buy milled flax seeds if you have the choice next time. You probably also want to clean anything you do use to grind up the seeds fairly soon afterwards.
I agree with others here–a cheap coffee grinder works best. I use two tablespoons every morning added to my oatmeal after it finishes cooking. I also add the same amount to protein shakes periodically.
I like grinding my own rather than buying it already ground. I feel like I know better what I’m getting. I realize I may just be anal about this.

I bought a couple of bags of flax seeds by mistake once. I just put them in the blender for a couple of minutes. They were fine.

You could use a motar and pestle, they’re cheap as hell and useful for other herbs is you’re into cooking. Also gives you a cool forearm pump when you make your breakfast.
