does anyone have any good ideas to make green tea taste better? i dont mind it but i love that sugar loaded stuff you buy at shoppers.
Try adding some cinammon or a little bit of maple syrup to each cup of green tea.

I add in raw honey, if you add it in when the tea isn’t boiling hot you will get the benefit of raw honeys enzymes.

Not sure what qualifies as “better” for you. I could never stand green tea because it was always cut with other things like ginger or jasmine or whatever. Finally discovered China Green Tips vy Tazo (served at Starbucks). The taste is mild, and not mixed with anything else that makes you think you’re drinking perfume.
Starting with fresh water is crucial; green is mild enough that tap water (with chlorine or whatever) can overwhelm it.
Good luck.
Try adding splenda for sweetness. Doesn’t have the same impact as sugar on the body.
1 slice of lemon and some sweetener.
Thats as good as it gets, and thats why its been done that way for ages.
You can always mix it with a little raspberry Crystal Light.
Green tea mixes well with other teas, too.
I drink it straight up. Anyways I am chinese I can’t stand geen tea any other way. Also, make sure your getting the good kind also at a local asain food mart.
But, if you truelly can’t stand it straight up. Try adding some honey.

i use Stevia instead of splenda and i prefer liquid splenda over the powder forms.
fitone,
Looks like you and I might be alone on this one. Who knew most people couldn’t handle green tea straight up?
I’m curious, and the answers might help PowerOnIce: What brands are you all drinking? What brands did you try and reject?
Eh, I’m in the green tea straight up category.
Especially one brand a friend of mine gets from his dad in Taiwan. I forgot the name, but it’s like the traditional green tea with the water being poured on bits of green tea leaves; except with this one, the bits of leaves grow into new huge ass leaves in the hot water.
I even drinked the super bitter green tea during a Japanese tea ceremony.
How different is maple or honey from unrefined junk sugar?
Perhaps raw unfilitered honey has ~some~ merit… but even at that, I’d choose stevia or splenda
drink it straight up and chew some gum afterwards. or if its that nasty, just find ways of putting small amounts of very strong tea in other foods that will mask the taste. e.g. oatmeal, protein shakes,.
i always thought the worst tasting stuff was flax seed oil/udo’s choice. i just happened to get used to it. maybe you’ll get used to green tea. and don’t buy the cheap stuff. make sure it’s pure green tea.
Count me in to the “straight up” category.
Though Splenda will do in a pinch.

You can buy “Chai Tea” mix by Tazo Teas(liquid) from Wild Oats stores. Coming from Wild Oats it’s all organic. It is a mixture of Black Tea, Honey, Lemon, raw brown cane sugar, and some other flavorful stuff. I use about 2 tblspns to one cup of hot green tea. If you don’t mind alittle carbs it really makes a great tasting tea. It’s good cold too.
Straight up here too. I use Yamamotoyama Japanese green tea bags mostly. You have to be carefull not to let it steep too long, any more than 2-3 minutes and it can get pretty bitter. I have at least one big cup every day.
I drink my green tea straight. I actually drink ALL my tea straight without adding anything. There’s nothing more disgusting than sweetened tea.
