It’s not that it’s too hard to define, it’s that people just define it wrong a lot of the time. ![]()
GPP… General Physical Preparation… so we need to figure out what we’re getting “prepared” for.
Ha, see now, that kinda answers that question then. If we’re just looking to get “in shape”, then that opens a lot of doors. You might find some good ideas in these articles:
I want to
- run as fast as possible
- jump as high as possible
- lift as heavy as possible
That’s all well and good, but you’ll need to get a bit more specific to know where you’re actually headed. Basic goal-setting is S.M.A.R.T. - Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-based.
so let say that my SPP is weight room (is it?) and I do it 3 times a week. But my condition level is pretty bad. And by the way I think that to run fast I must sometimes actually run not only lift lol.
…
how many times a week when and what should I do to achieve my goals.
And what should i really do? Sprints i think thats for sure but what else?
It sounds kinda funny, but if you think it through, it makes a whole bunch of sense for someone in your shoes. You don’t have to follow his list to the letter (though it wouldn’t hurt), but definitely try to see the bigger picture of what he’s talking about.
