Long back story, but gist is that I had low T because of a vericocele (TT 388 at age 29)… 41 now.
had it fixed but never really rechecked and years later a hrt clinic doc prescribed trt cause I felt tired and miserable and he said I had no hope going to good natural levels.
I stopped back in 2014, gold turkey and my TT was 144 after 10 weeks.
So I’ve been on trt ever since. I tried so many restarts with different methods, scaly pct, etc. my TT never got above 40 and LH been zero.
I tried one last restart using enclomiphene 25 daily x 30 days and lupron 1 mg x 2 doses spaced a week apart (day 22 and day 30). My LH went to .7! (Checked day 31, range 1.5-9). My TT values I think were wrong, said 1700 (using immunoassay not LC/ms) but I had no hcg or test, and I felt like shit. Anyway, think there’s any hope at regaining natural levels?
It sounds like your pituitary gland is broken and isn’t even responding to stimulation, this is pituitary failure on a level I don’t see often, you are almost completely shut down even with stimulation.
I think this trend will continue and at some point LH will reach zero. You’re 41 and even if everything was working correctly you would still be dealing with a natural decline and seeking TRT anyway.
Do you think short bursts with lupron over a month with more enclomiphene would be worth it? Not a good sign it went from zero to .7? I was really optimistic
@systemlord
Sorry to bother, but you are the smartest person re trt.
I hear your advice clearly but when I stop trt I feel like shit/death. Then when I get back on I feel soo good and my balls feel full (hcg plus trt) and I’m like I can do this without trt. Then I start thinking maybe if I high dose the enclomiphene and do EOD lupron I can do it.
Can you talk some sense into how stupid I am for thinking this?
I just looked up my labs from 2010, TT was 388. That was pre-vericocele surgery. I sound crazy but I’m fixated on this. Again thanks for the help! Really appreciate it.
