Got Laryngitis!

Hi all, im not new here, i read alot but just dont post.
im beginning this new year and trying to put on some bulk, so before Xmas i got new weight gainer and Whey protein all ready, got some fish oil and Tribulus (the Tribulus is for when i stall on the weight) my new years resolution is to Bench 100kg for 10 reps (sad i know but i aint huge and had a quite major shoulder op) so i was all prepared but had to go away for the first week for work which was a physically demanding course so i couldnt start yet.

So i started my first seesion when i got back and felt great, on Wednesday something happened at work which prevented me from training, but i was feeling really rough in the evening, really sore throat, was having real trouble swallowing so i went to the docs yesterday and have got Laryngitis! Really pissed off! seems like everytime i try to get started on a cycle something happens!

anyone had experiences with Laryngitis before? also, i see so many programs for mass, i wanna improve strength and size (lean size) im trying to train 3 times a week (i do shift work) i do Bench,Deadlift and Squat on different days with atleast 1 day apart. and do assistant exercises on each.

Has anyone had really good experiences with certain programs from this site? if so which ones? and how you felt on them.

Cheers

Don’t get too caught up looking for the magical program; if you have ANY real amount of lifting experience, you should be able to put together some semblance of a balanced program, analyze and correct your weaknesses, and consistently gain strength. And read. Read, read, and read some more. Compare information, figure out who really knows wth they’re talking about, and DO THAT.

At the same time, question everything. Never take anything for absolute truth, 'cause there’s a LOT of myths and BS out there.

To summarize, try everything. Continue doing what brings you closer to yoru goals, stop doing what doesn’t.

cheers mate, i know a bit, i am NO expert.

I really wanted to do some strongman training (like events, farmers walk etc) but have no strongman gym in London (ENG) and wanted to gain size also but will just have to stick to the gym.

I liked the article ‘Mass made simple’, i tried stronglifts and although i felt it work i squat quite heavy and doing it all the time really f*cked up my hamstring.

Im always reading on here looking for stuff, i find alot of contradicting theorys but like to try things.

Just wish this damn Laryngitis will shift!

go to the doctor and be healthy, rested, and mentally prepared before you start your bulking, IMO.

Until then, do something that you can manage. But by all means, I’d focus on getting healthy and then just go with your original plan.
