Normal people can generally meet their ex’s and be fine. It’s been 8 months since you made the OP and I would hope you would be over it by now especially since this was not a mature relationship.
I went to a small-ish private college and had occasions where I was around an ex and didn’t have any real issues. But that probably had more to do with the nature of my college and its social scene where avoiding someone would be obvious and look childish. I was distraught after my first LT GF dumped me but I was seriously over it within a month and was able to fuck her a few times afterwards without rekindling lost feelings. That’s where you want to be.
But it’s clear you still have feelings for her based on your recent posts and the way you predicted “it’ll be very emotional”. The final straw is she filed a restraining order on you. Either she is not stable or you are not stable for that to have happened. I would never ever willingly meet with someone who filed a restraining order on me no matter who’s fault it was. There’s no reason for any meeting to be emotional 8 months after a relationship between teenagers.
You should have bounced back already. You say you are in better shape. If so you should have confidence to put yourself out there and get some strange. You only live once and you’re only in your early 20s going to college once. Do not waste it. You also have some growing up to do and it’s better to get it done now than later because worthwhile women outside of college do not want immature boys.
