Got Accused of Using Steroids

Just for clarification OP, what plates are those? By my figuing that’s closer to 435 pounds, but only because I don’t know what the plates are.

the reds are 25kg plates, the yellow is 15, all together are 205kg/452 pounds. if you read my post when I uploaded them I say the weight, and hopefully coming Tuesday I will get that 500pound/225kg

Nice lift…not quite 500 yet and I couldn’t watch the vid on my phone but I’m assuming it was good!

K. I’m not too familiar with kg (meaning which plates weigh what) is all. Makes sense now.

Americans…

Anybody in America who took chemistry in grade school should be familiar with the metric system.
Not to mention that most plates have the weight written in pounds and kilos on them.

I’m familiar with the system, but just looking at the plates won’t tell you what weight in kg they are.

That makes sense.
Forget what I said.
I’ve never used plates like that before either.

Since when does 450 = 500?

Just kidding, OP. Nice lift and tell everyone how good it feels to shut us naysayers all the fuck up, maybe we’ll have more people like you down the road.

Fake plates…

Any other defenses you guys think will stick!!! I need to save face here…

ahhh…

That isn’t him in the video?

500lbs squat with legitimate depth is impressive. To be fair yours was a little high

500lbs deadlift is not as impressive. My little brother (170lbs, 17 years old) deadlifts 520. I was able in the past, it wouldnt be very long to get it back and I am not even muscular

Canadians are not any better :stuck_out_tongue:

Having to switch between metric and imperial CONSTANTLY means I get them both wrong. Sucks!

All my weights at home are in lbs including my cheap ass bumpers but at the gym all the metal plates are in lbs but the bumpers are in kgs. So tonight I did a bunch of lifts at ~ten lbs more than I thought because my kg to lbs conversion sucks. I wish they were all in kgs. (not that my lifts were a bad thing  )
