Hiya alex, it is kinda crazy how much I get done in an hour. Sometimes it’s good and bad. Today’s training was 2 hours. One hour was just for deadlifting. I didn’t plan it that way but when I’m not rushing my low rep sets, I can take a while.
Blaze, that’s why I asked if you changed your split. I did and I noticed that ours is similar giggle <3
Yeah I should have done incline flies. I just tried to switch it up since I did incline press but flat flys do bother me.
I just went to my pizza guy and got a gyro. Nom nom nom nom nom. Gonna chase it down with some zeppolis too. More noms.
K today was back, shoulders and biceps. I’ll be adding shoulder work whenever I can.
Good news is that my shoulder felt a lot better during laterals than last time. I’m changing my hand position on the steering wheel and just trying to do some shoulder health stuff so I’m feeling better.

Awesome pulling day. I could’ve done more but I’ll save that for the next couple of weeks.
At first I was worried because 265 felt kinda slow. I thought that I’ll have to deload. I don’t feel like I need to mentally or anything, but if my lifts stall, then I’ll do what I have to. Luckily I just had to change my approach. I rested about 3 minutes between lifts and I did the whole “walk up to the bar and just tear shit up” technique. It works a lot better than me staying in the starting position for 30 seconds like I normally do.
Before the 295, I even did some extended set pull-ups. Probably about 12 from dead hang each time. Extended set pull ups (my definition anyway) are just wide grip to failure, medium grip to failure then neutral grip to failure.
So yeah, 295 is about 5-8 pounds short of 2x my BW.
