Can anyone point me in the direction of a good program to maintain the little muscle I have while cutting some fat? Yes I know, I have a long long way to go. My main goal is to cut fat for a few months and then start to do a lean bulk. I have an indigo log set up to give you an idea of my caloric intake. Here is the link http://tnation.T-Nation.com/free_online_forum/sports_body_training_performance_bodybuilding_indigo_2/overdrive570s_indigo3g_log The reactive pump program was suggested to me, but I don’t have access to all the equipment needed to do the program nor think I’m ready to do it.
How limited is your equipment? I saew the pic in your log, is that it?
The smith machine I have has the smith bar, cable crossover on the top and an attachment for the bottom, there is a row attachment, pec dec, and pull up bar. I also have an olympic bar, ez bar, 5 foot straight bar for standard weight, bar for lat pull downs, 4 dumbbells that use plates and a bench with leg attachment and pad for preacher curl
I’ve had some good results from the figure athlete program. I customized the conditioning part cause I didnt have access to some of the equipment and it worked great.
If you can do squats from pins and rack deadlifts, then I’d definitely recommend 6 Weeks to Superhero. It’s fantastic for getting you lean while preserving (even building) muscle at the same time. It may be difficult for you to set up and change weights if you only have 1 bar but give it a shot. It’s honestly the best training program that I’ve used to get super lean.
Yeah I have the smith bar and the free olympic bar. It probably will be difficult to do the 6 weeks to super hero for me. Do you still think its do able from the limited equipment that I have?
I’d say something that’s high octane, 4 days/week, throw in 1-2 days of intervals and stretching (think yoga) and a solid diet. Watch the fat fly off. It’s not that complicated as I have finally learned after years and years and years of screwing up.
Does anyone have any links to any 4 day a week programs?
