I’ve been lifting for over 15 years. Some good some bad.I’ve finally decided to start powerlifting.I thought it would be a great way to test myself for power.
Anyways I won’t be buying all of the equipment I need but will start off with a few essentials. At least what I think I should buy first.
I would like to try and purchase all of my gear from 1 distributor if possible to save on shipping cost.I live in Canada so a Canadian supplier would even be better.
This is what has been suggested by a friend so if u think there are good substitutes I would welcome all info.
I have ordered from both places and they were both great. Irongladiators is the ONLY site I would order Inzer gear from!
What type of lifting do you want to do? Raw, single ply or multi ply?
I would advise just getting a squat suit. Then if you want you can wear it with the straps up, or straps down and you have something very similar to briefs. Other than that a belt, wrist wraps and knee wraps.

I agree with both of these statements. I would start off with a proper fitting (doesn’t need to be “meet tight” just yet) single ply suit. The new centurions are awesome.
I’d start off with the straps down, then when you’re comfortable in that, put the straps up and wrap your knees. Gear is fun to learn to lift in, and there’s really no rush.
After you’ve done some single ply meets, you can buy the predators (which, I just bought myself, they’re awesome) and wear them over your single ply suit. (I’m not 100% sure on this, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t be legal in a multiply fed.)
From there, you can buy a multiply suit and learn that with the multiply briefs.
This is basically the way I learned to use powerlifting gear, and I’m happy this is the route I took.
Also, if you’re going to be competing in multiply gear, you better have access to a monolift. Just something to think about.
Don’t order the Frantz Tp-5000, the design has been changed and there isn’t as much elastic in them. That’s what I have heard from someone that just got a new pair at least

Indeed; drop me a PM, and if you are in the Toronto area you can drop by for a workout to try all of the items you listed. It’s often best to try on a couple of sizes before buying.
As to where to buy them, we buy the Inzer items from www.irongladiators.com, and TP5000s from the Frantz site (http://www.frantzpowergear.com/). Often best to call both to explain you are in Canada and are looking to get things shipped via USPS. Both UPS and FEDEX will apply a large brokerage fee to cross-border shipments, over and above taxes and duties.
