This is a good first read, even if flawed:
Read the estradiol and protocol for injection stickies. The book predates use of anastrozole for E management. The author was also negative on T injections as the results of injecting every two weeks were poor.
The biggest problem with these books is that the biggest problem is not discussed… doctors not understanding these things. By the time guys here find a doc that can do things right, they end up knowing way more than most doctors. And along the road we learn how deeply stupid most doctors really are, they can’t think for themselves. If a med journal or a drug rep does not tell them how to prescribe, they are lost. They also have deep ego problems and do not react well to challenges to their misconceptions. The drum that gets beat the most is the one that makes the most money for the drug reps or doctors. Injections get pushed aside by very expensive T-gels, patches and pellets. Some docs will not let guys self inject so they maximized earnings from office injections. Compounded T products can work very well and are reasonably affordable and very much cheaper at LEF’s pharmacy. Compounding pharmacies and the doctors that they educate and work with are the real heros in this story.
The alternative treatments to injections are a morally bankrupt as they typically provide supporting clinical and research results that show how these alternative treatments provide better results than injecting once every two weeks. They show how great their products are compared to a [stupid] worst case injection protocol. They get to do this because no one has the balls to have the ancient injectable testosterone prescribing information updated to reflect best practices.
