Golfer's Elbow

@Dolce Golfer’s elbow (medial epicondylitis) can be VERY hard to get rid of. Took several months for me, and it returns whenever my biceps tendonitis and rotator cuff tendonitis returns. Oddly enough, the golfer’s elbow symptoms go away when my shoulder tendonitis goes away.

My physical threapist said that my forearm tendons have to over-compensate (e.g., when doing pullups) when there is instability in my shoulder joint. There’s no way that I’ve found to train through the golfer’s elbow - just rest and shoulder re-hab (in my case). Avoiding pullups and deads for a while (or using lifting straps, at a minimum) would be my advice. Best of luck to you.

wow, good find bro. very innovative way to build some extensor strength. i’ve tried putting a 5-10 pound dumbell and resting it on top of my fingers while bracing my wrist on a bench but this seems way better.

how are your experiences with ART? do you think its worth it? [/quote]

It really depends on your situation. If you have health insurance picking up the tab then yes it is definitely worth it. If you are footing the bill then it can be quite expensive and in some cases the ART can completely cure your problems and in others it will just help ease it along. So far the sessions just help the tightness in the forearm belly and not so much the tendons connecting at the elbow. :frowning:

Unfortunately there is alot of truth in this. And it can be different for anyone (the cause that is). Mine go back and forth between arms. Right arm has NO pain right now and left arm is killing me. It flared up in one instant trying to grip the hell out of the bar on a DL.
