I like to use “Golden Eggs” which have been fed a diet designed for them to produce eggs which are higher in DHA and omega-3’s. Does anybody know what kind of quantities of these fats that the eggs have. Each egg contains 4.5g fat with 1.5 as saturated. I’m trying to find the breakdown of the other 3g, especially how much DHA.
I found one kind of EFA egg that listed EFA quantities on the package. I don’t remember what the brand was, but I imagine most brands are the same in this respect. It was something trivial, like 350 mg. per egg. Given the extra cost of EFA eggs, it’s cheaper just to buy regular eggs and supplement with cod liver oil. Mm Mmm Good!
