Going Up a Shoe Size From Lifting?

I’m fixing to order another pair of boots and thought I’d check my size. Three years ago I measured myself as a 10 D (American) and all my boots are 10 D. Today according to the exact same chart I’m a 10 1/2 E. Could this be because I’ve gained over 50 pounds and always lift barefoot? I’m 33 so I’m definitely not still growing. And, just for the record, I am not a basketball player of elite skill level.

I can still fit into all my old boots but I definitely have to wear thinner socks with a few pairs now. Is this weird, or have others had this happen?

Yes. There are muscles in your feet as well. This isn’t that uncommon, especially in people who increase their body weight in excess of 50lbs. I wore a size 11-12 until college. I now where a size 13.

Thanks. It makes sense, I just haven’t heard about it before.
