Ok, you guys really took this the wrong way, and really fucking ran with it, so in the interest of keeping myself from becoming the next celtics, allow me to clear some things up.

Please notice that nowhere in either of my posts do I claim that I am bigger than H4M, or that my program is better than his, or that if you don’t do my program, you’re wrong.

I said I don’t understand how you guys train legs so often, but I guess if your volume is lower than mine, that makes sense. If you guys did legs the same way I did, you wouldn’t do it more than once a week.

How do I stay in the gym for 3 hours? I don’t know, maybe I have better endurance than you. I do it all the time. Also, keep in mind, I’m going with somebody else. I do a set, he does a set, and leg days are exhausting, so we take a good bit of rest between set. Please notice that nowhere in my post did I claim that EVERYONE should workout everyday for 3 hours. I also didn’t say its a breeze. Its not fun. I fucking hate leg day. Its not easy either, I don’t go prancing out of the gym to go skip through the daisy fields after my workout, I wanna go home and fucking die. My leg workouts are based around the principle I read in Arnold’s encyclopedia. He says “Leg workouts simply must be brutal, to be effective.” That is what works for me. Ask Akuma what my legs looked like (popsicle sticks)when we first started.

I did say if you do a GOOD leg day you don’t go back for another till next week. That could have been taken the wrong way. If you do MY version of a good leg day, this is the case.

I said his legs were “good size” and not big, because when I think “big” legs, I think, Tom Platz, Kai Greene, and I think we can all agree, although closer than some, he just isn’t at that level yet. Trust me, it was a compliment.

Somebody had the clairvoyance to point out that I train with Akuma, but GASP! I’m not as big!?! No, I’m not even close. Why? I don’t eat enough. I simply don’t manage my time well enough to eat the massive amounts of calories that I need to, to grow. I also have a physically taxing job, which doesn’t help, but that is just an excuse. I’M NOT HUGE, AND IT’S MY FAULT.

You say that you dont consider H4M philosophy on training ‘legit’ (paraphrasing if I may) yet you dont have pictures of your own legs. AND your upper body isnt close to his. Somebody made the point earlier that lighter is better to nail form. this is very valid. Lower body lifts are far more technical and should be executed perfectly. There’s more fudge room with bench than with DL.
Good job noticing the need for hamstring work. I spent too many months doing squats, leg press, and calf raises (high volume, 6-9 sets each) and looked in the mirror last month to notice dissappointing hammies just assuming the squat was doing enough

These things should not have to be explained to you. You’re an adult, presumably older than I, and yet you don’t understand that the way you express yourself holds as much weight as the literal meaning of your words…

What is literally being said (as in, on a base level) is that Hungry4More has good legs, you are complimenting him.

However, the wording you used implies that while you’re complementing him, you also are still unimpressed by his progress (“PRETTY good size”). Of course you can justify this by claiming that you rate his legs in comparison to Mr.Olympia standards, but in that one act of ignorance you bypass the fact that the majority of people on this forum will never get to that size, you included. So to make a judgement based on leg muscles that are AS PHYSICALLY LARGE AS MANKIND HAS PRODUCED almost implies that you are somewhere near that size - it comes out as you being arrogant…

That is a single example of how you give off the wrong impression, irrespective of your intentions. You need to tone yourself down, and humble yourself. Rather than throwing motivational slogans everywhere and telling people that there are no limitations, PROVE that there are no limitations instead, by shutting up and DOING IT. Actions speak louder than words, when you have someone telling you this it’s difficult to take them seriously unless they’re living pieces of evidence that’s it’s true (and no, we don’t care about how much you’ve improved, only where you’re at now).

Humble people get a break. Arrogant people always get challenged. This is also the reason why Professor X regularly gets challenged despite the fact that he actually DOES help people.

Do you guys REALLY train together, or do you go to the gym together, and he makes some suggestions, or what? When he’s doing a leg workout and you’re there, what do you do the whole time? THAT is what I’m wondering, that’s all.

Hyena and the OP are two completely different people. Hyena trains exactly what i do, and for the most part LIFTS what i do. Reps and weight may change slightly depending on the exercise, but he is right up there with me. HIS problem is that he does not eat for shit. Ive attempted to grind this into his head, but ultimately, it is something that he is going to have to step up and do himself.

He is a PRIME example of the importance of Caloric intake.
