Yeah, that Saturday find a way over to Greenville Ave. for the St. Patty’s Day Parade and Block Party. You should be to find info. at either The Observer’s website (a local paper) or at kegl.com

If you want directions, just PM me where you’re coming from (no homo, dude!) and I’ll tell you the best way I know how to get there.

Oh yeah, it usually starts around 9 or 10 in the morning and lasts til like 1230-1300, but that’s when the party starts…anyway, maybe we’ll see ya out there!

Duece

Deep Ellum=good times all over for the most part. If you are into the touristy kind of stuff, you can visit the 6th floor museum. It was interesting. Lots to do in Dallas, depends on what you are into.

thanks for the responses guys, i might check out the museum depends if i
have time, but i def. plan to go to a couple strip clubs/ and maybe
ride a fake dragster at speedzone.

then you’ll want to hit up Vinnie Paul’s place: The Clubhouse, for sure. The Men’s Club and The Lodge are pretty good too!

If you want expensive but phenomenal Mexican food, check out Javier’s.

Deep Ellum or Lower Greenville is probably where the best bar scene/ night life is. The fight is actually in Arlington which is about 30 minutes away from downtown Dallas. There is a whole lot of stuff to do there in Arlington, there is a lake, football and baseball stadium, six flags, and lots of other stuff.

Welcome to Texas. You picked great weather time to be here. Marvel and awe at the stadium. Dont forget Ft. Worth a great night life there. Just dont bring MA liberal policies with you.

First of all, thanks to all you guys for the tips. this is my last night here. i didnt get to do the strip club
thing because there was a change in plans and the gf came along. I rode those dragsters at speedzone, wow
those badboys can go fast. checked out deep ellum, and got to go to joe pool lake.

Thoughts on the Fights: this was a lil bit of a different experience because as i watched the fights on the big screen you couldn’t here the announcers( which btw i just looked on youtube and jim lampley was pretty funny, bang, bang)

Duddy vs. Medina: could have gone either way both landed good shots, that being said in a close Duddy will get the decision as they are really trying to build him up.
Gomez vs. Castillo: first of all i was kind of surprised they brought him out first, i thought he would be second. Gomez looked like the younger, stronger, and more active fighter and outworked castillo whom i just read announced his retirement. I was hoping for a more spirited fight from him but hey he’s had like 70 fights.
Soto vs. Diaz: good fast paced battle, it was back and forth but soto seemed to hurt Diaz more. And For someone coming up in weight Soto looked to me to be a lot larger than Diaz, but def. earned the W. at this point in the night the whole stadium including myself started doing the wave, lol.

Pacquiao vs. Clottey: All i have to say is damn many throw a lot of damn punches. you could tell he was trying to work the body to bring clottey’s hands down but clottey sacrificed his body to save his head. those body shots shook clottey’s whole body. i was nervous it was going to be an early fight when in the 2nd manny hit clottey and wobbled him. manny dominated and clottey didnt want to throw punches so he wouldnt Ko’d.thats what happens when you fight manny, you dont really want to throw too much and open yourself up because will def. make you pay.

Final thoughts: The stadium was awesome, the crowd was good with mostly manny fans and a few clottey fans and the back and forth between the fans was in good fun.If Manny and Floyd fight im putting my money on Pacquiao. too much pressure and not only pressure but effective pressure which Floyd has had trouble in the past with the likes of DLH and Castillo. All in All it was a great night and hopefully more to come.
thanks guys.
