Haha, it was, about half hour all up, done. Legs are fried today though, I sound like an old man. Have been painting the walls in the bedroom and the bed and fark I’m making all the old man noises getting off the floor.

Haha this is why I don’t deadlift often, I’d be making weird noises every time I climbed up and down the scaffold

Was at Aldi doing the food shopping, noticed what looked like a weight plate in the bargain bin, ended up.being a pair of the suckers, 20kg bumpers, 10 bucks each! Freaking bargain!

could you tell us a bit about your home gym experience. What you got? How long have you been putting stuff together? How much did it cost?

@guineapig I much prefer my home gym, my music, no people to deal with, and fridge is close by, plus it’s free
I’ve had a few diff things over the years but usually just keep it simple. I do regret selling my GHR a few years back.

I try to pick shit up on special or Gumtree. Got my rack for 300 bucks ages ago, already had one, but this one is better, sold the other one and it paid for it :wink:
I can’t remember but I swapped something for the bench.
Bought the SSB and the power bar brand new online and the other bar from a gym that was getting rid of stuff.
All my plates are from Gumtree, apart from all the Tri grip stuff, got the rubber coated 20’s and the xspeed plates from a place trying to get rid of them so I made a deal and bought them all, from memory about 90c per kg.

For now I’ve got: Powertec Power Rack
Flat bench
Lat pulldown cable things separately

Black Oxide Power Bar - excellent knurling, has held up to tons of abuse
An old random Only Bar that I use for Landmine stuff.
SSB newly acquired
Oly EZ Curl bar
Heap of screw lock DB’s and Oly DB handles,

Oly weights - 5 pairs of iron 20kg’s
1 pair 20kg bumpers - today, haha
1 pair 25kg bumpers
Few pairs of 10’s, 5’s, 2.5’s and 1.25’s

Heaps of standard plates, use mainly 5’s for diff DB weights, actually need more.
The Mrs uses the little ones

@losthog not dealing with people is a massive bonus. Only person I have to deal with is the Mrs when she comes in to lift.

Decided on a change of pace for a bit, trying out a PHUL type 4 day thingo, will see how it goes, at least I get to squat twice a week again . 1 heavy and 1 fluffy session.
