I’d felt flat all day and decided to do something I’ve never done, use straps for deads, usually I use mixed grip for anything over 140kg but 190 double overhand with straps felt easy, could have nailed at least 8 I reckon.
Did my deadlift day yesterday without my wife - she’s been coming and doing 5/3/1 with me, her foot hurt too much to do deads that day so she seemed kind of half pissed off that I was gonna go without her, but when my back feels good, I gotta hit those deads. I made up for it by coming home with chocolates and a dress I picked out for her from a store on the way home from the gym. Gotta play the game, brother.

I was sittin in the store googling women’s clothing charts to find out what a small is. But when we go clothes shopping I choose a lot of things for her and she usually approves. She’s about the least picky woman I know, and I have to make her go out and get stuff for herself sometimes. She’s a stay at home mom, I’ve heard people talk about their wives spending all their money but mine texts me before going to the dollar store to let me know what she’s getting haha she’s better with money than I am.
Walked 2.5k’s this morning before work, will squeeze in another one tonight too. Another PD day tomorrow, so will be sitting on my ass, which I hate!!!
